Castle Greyrot, a new rogue-lite RPG on the horizon! Featuring Duran!

Hello, Time Travelers!
I've been absent for the past year, working on a new project called Castle Greyrot. Imagine Shattered Hourglass bosses, dialogues, decision-making, and job system but it's set in dark medieval times.

The story is Castle Greyrot is a living being that changes its location every 10 years and corrupts its surroundings wherever it goes. As an experienced Commander, you are summoned to engage in a raid on Castle Greyrot.
With mercenaries on your side, you're about to venture to the Castle and destroy the unknown evil force within. It's that simple.

You can check out Castle Greyrot's page right away!

Could you give the list of party members and conditions + place to acquire them? Because this is a 30+ hour game and I don't really care about repeating. Also, when does the Arena begin in the 1st world? I am two Hunt Missions away from entering Chronix.

Bad/Neutral path have different party members, if you stayed in Good path your party members stay same. Zulwhern (or *spoiler party member*) is the only party member you can get in all paths.

There is an NPC in the Chronix mentions about Arena. It activates the Arena.

You need to light up 3 lights to open the chest (that chest room also have the hint of the coloured puzzle, mixing those 3 colours creates that colour you need) which have the key for that door.

I just can't get in. Tried the lights with the negative numbers (green, blue) and the other three alternately, but doesn't work.

I believe you are missing a room with a locked chest. When you combine three correct colours that chest opens and it has the key to open that door :')

Which are the three correct colors? Green and blue are the first so which is the third?

Also, really good proof-reading. There are some mistakes here and there but it is still a lot better than before.
And red! :D

Thank you so much! Proof-reading took some time, but it's showing its fruits ^.^ It's a must for non-native English speakers.
Ok thx, got the locked chest and the key and the three treasures as well. BTW did that finish everything in the Egyptian Dungeon? No way to get the small red box surrounded by holes? Stepping into the hole leads to the Sunbeam Crystal.

Also, where is the Swordmaster in Hunter's Hut? I didn't find him in the space dungeon under the well.
Feedback on difficulties:

See, difficulty level in game can be freely adjusted, and it multiplies the encountered monster's stats (and thus, the time taken to finish the encounter) in exchange for giving a small boost to gold, exp and item drop rates. I'll give my opinion on difficulty modes boosting them.

Item Drop rate: Loot Mode (250% Item Drop+, Gold haled, Exp nullified) is practically worthless. All the time I used it, the common drops multiplied but the ones I wanted never dropped. Since even Loot Mode is worthless, the paltry 20% Item Drop boost with Hardcore difficulty is meaningless as well.

EXP gain: None of the difficulties boost EXP gains, but a monster dropping EXP+ accessories is pretty easy to find (Slime Soldier) and a dungeon containing only that monster appears pretty quickly (that ice dungeon with Oni Boss). Loot mode being worthless, I could only get Slime Candy (boost XP 5%) twice after grinding nearly an hour, but even the other dropped accessory (Slime Ball, XP boost 1%) was good since I could stack it.

Gold Gain: 20% Gold gain in Hardcore is decent in early game, but at that time, it makes the game unnecessarily hard due to low-tier equips and skills. Mid game after entering Chronos, an item that boosts Gold gain (to 200%/ double) is easily found in the item shop, making 20% gold gain meaningless.

In comparison to the increased difficulty, the boosts to gold, exp and item drop rates are pretty small. After equipping certain items, it would be better to run around in Casual difficulty, as the time taken to finish encounters is really lowered, allowing you to grind gold, exp and item drops quicker than adding high difficulties.
so in the egypt temple i tried all the words for life i could think of but it is not opening the door. Can i get a hint or something plesase?

I have to disagree about Loot Hunt Mode (and drop rate boosts in general); I suspect you were simply impatient. Rare drops are exactly that; rare! A 250% rate doesn't mean the enemies are suddenly going to be pelting you with item drops every other battle, simply that the rates are much faster. So you still have to do a little grinding before they drop, but they'll drop sooner, I've definitely noticed the difference.

The issue is that some drops are very rare, such as Ghost Essence, which has a whopping 1 in 1000 rate. The 250% boost reduces it to a 1 in 400 rate. You have a much higher chance of getting it, but it'll still take some time!

Also, there's an accessory you can get from the desert temple that adds an additional 200% drop rate (Ghost Essence is now about 1 in 220!), which definitely helps a lot.

It really makes a huge difference once you maxed the party level. 20% extra gold + potch of greed means 240% gold rate. If you fight the clams in Aquana or the dungeon where the Sun God told you to go there, you can get money really fast. Also, once you got the golden bell, 250% becomes 500% drop rate. With this, you can optimize Zhulwern so that he can deal damage more than Knight of The Round in FF 7 with Arrow Rain, if you... patient enough :D

You'll still have a hard time fighting Leviathan and Lv. 9 Arena though...

The swordmaster is under the well. You have to look again carefully.

No, you can't get that chest :) It's empty though.

There are many items that can boost your item gain rate and exp rate. So I really don't want to adjust them anymore. The script I'm using for changing the difficulty is quite buggy to be honest. So even changing a bit variable can break the game and create super strong monsters even when changing their exp value. So that's the best I can do with that script ^.^
Also outside of Tidender is the best place for gaining exp. So it's very easy to max out your other jobs with it.

I'll give you its first two words... "an__". Look at the life symbol in Egypt, you'll get your answer :)
Wonderful game!! Does lack a little detail but it’s just the style of the game d: I rate 10/10
OK, defeated the Fire Lord and unlocked the boat, so it seems that I have reached the game's final part. Can anyone rec a place where EXP boost accessories and etc. drop? Do describe its relative location.

You can use an airship in the Bad/Neutral game's world map for a short time, but it's not available in the first 2 world maps.

Potch of Greed = Double Gold (Chronix)
Lucky Dice = 10% Exp (Haunted Forest's NPC)
Slime Drop = 1% Exp (Slime Soldiers)
Golden Skull = Double Drop Rate (15+ House Upgrade Req, it's located on left side of player house)

Is there only one Lucky Dice? Or can I get more?

House upgrade... I did the first 6 but how do I upgrade more after that?

Also, which is the best area to farm EXP that I can access now?
You can only get one Lucky Dice.

There is an island that sells many pieces of furniture other than that Chronix got 2 upgrades, Tidender got 1, Aquana side quest got 1, Buying seeds from merchants can improve a lot, Revisiting Volcano can get you 1 and Gachapon boxes also got house upgrades.

If you are near to the end I'd say outside of Tidender, it has the best EXP.
