Castle Greyrot, a new rogue-lite RPG on the horizon! Featuring Duran!



Hello, Time Travelers!
I've been absent for the past year, working on a new project called Castle Greyrot. Imagine Shattered Hourglass bosses, dialogues, decision-making, and job system but it's set in dark medieval times.

The story is Castle Greyrot is a living being that changes its location every 10 years and corrupts its surroundings wherever it goes. As an experienced Commander, you are summoned to engage in a raid on Castle Greyrot.
With mercenaries on your side, you're about to venture to the Castle and destroy the unknown evil force within. It's that simple.

Its priority is same as players and you can not interact with it??
Uhhh, I'm 100% positive that I've removed that character later on. It was used for debugging purposes. Like adding some items, party members, testing it out :~D
Also, I got Mio. She got rid of the Eagle. When I try to leave the Hunters' Hut, I get a text from the Eagle saying there is evil here and to let him take care of it. Then, nothing happens. The only way out of the hut is with a teleport scroll.. I am using v 8.5
UPDATE
I used a return scroll and came back. Everything normal, now. I have Mio and no Eagle texts. All is OK.

I can't go down the well, either.
Was it because I talked to Mio, right off?
I was thinking, maybe Eagle's warning was supposed to be before talking to Mio?

Uhhhhh... That not supposed to be NPC is adding cursed eagle to the party... so even if you got Mio your party has an invisible cursed eagle... that's the biggest issue right now, I'm going to fix and re-upload 8.5... :'( Gaaah! Thanks for warning me, I wonder how many people talked to that NPC.

it's been a while since i last played this game. i almost forgot what should i be doing (i was exploring all the places i could find until i found a sand tower and its secret entrance button (by luck)).. and then i find a room with a chest and a sign that says "The key is in 3 shades: very dark desaturated yellow". i can't seem to find the place though. mind telling me where it is?

There is another room with pillars or statues outside the door, like the room you're in. In that room, there are colored globes. You have to light up the right 3 globes.I should rephrase:The correct 3 globes.
thanks ! It works. I didnt know that there is a hidden room because the room in the previoud area said that the door will be unlocked once the counter reached 5 although it unlocks when it reaches 3 so i thought that the hidden room is somewhere else.

Ughhh... If anyone downloaded 8.5, may need to download the new version now. If anyone stuck on the hunter's hut they can send me their save files so I can fix the current issue ^.^

After beating Demon Priest, went to Hunters' Hut and Eagle appears, again and I can't leave without a scroll.

Same thing happening when I put my save into 8.5a. Eagle has his dialogue and I'm stuck in Hunters's Hut, unless, I use a scroll.

But I already removed Eagle completely from your save file ^.^ I've tested it out on the well, and also tried to leave hunters' hut... there is no dialogue associated with it. Just replace your save file with mine and you'll be fine.

I`m revisiting the volcano and those riddles are EXTREMELY impossible to pass through.... Extremely frustrated here

All of those riddle answers are at the left side of the volcano, there is a room which holds all answers (on a wall). You may need some pen and paper for that... also screenshots help a lot!

It was a complete game. About 2 years ago I've decided to add more content and wanted to extend the story a bit. Normally when you beat Chronos the game ends, what you see after that part is extra from my side.

Last chapter (at least the good ending side) is almost complete. All I need is some free time, which I currently have a hard time to manage that. But don't worry, it'll soon be a completely COMPLETED game ;)

If you just beat Chronos, there is post game content. You should be directed to it. If you are in the Ice dungeon where the " fused bars" are, there will be more to come. Sawworm will be updating the download link to include that.

I download this game a week ago, then i must admit that this game is making me addicted!

I love the gameplay, complexity and BGM (especially Icwland's BGM).

I have an issue about fishing. I just aquired fishing approval and have a quest to catch a catfish. I have 5 catfish and the fisher that give me a quest keep saying "bring me two catfish". I hope you can give me a pointer about this issue.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm very happy that you are enjoying it so far.

I just checked your issue and I've found out something... very amateur problem, that's a mistake on my side.
For that NPC, I set up that event "if your catfish count equal to 2." It should be "equal or more than 2."

So, you need to sell some of your catfishes to make it equal to 2 and talk with that NPC once again. I'm sorry that you're having an issue with it.

I'm going to release a patch for that issue in the next update.

Side note: If it still doesn't work you can send me your save file (on Mediafire or similar websites), so I can fix that issue for you.
