Castle Greyrot, a new rogue-lite RPG on the horizon! Featuring Duran!



Hello, Time Travelers!
I've been absent for the past year, working on a new project called Castle Greyrot. Imagine Shattered Hourglass bosses, dialogues, decision-making, and job system but it's set in dark medieval times.

The story is Castle Greyrot is a living being that changes its location every 10 years and corrupts its surroundings wherever it goes. As an experienced Commander, you are summoned to engage in a raid on Castle Greyrot.
With mercenaries on your side, you're about to venture to the Castle and destroy the unknown evil force within. It's that simple.

If you mean by the system that "Mass Effect" used, I'll stay away from it. It's great idea but it's not the concept I want, because with colored choices game starts to narrates you, I give a freedom in choices, so you'll get the results in later of game ^.^ But still in every karma event you can see the results of your action, I guess it's good enough.

For the first karma event adding a small tutorial would be great, I'll do it ^.^

hey just wanted to let you know that I subbed this game and started to play it. I did notice one thing that I thought I should bring to your attention though. When you go into the item menu and you open the identity book the enemies that you have battled don't show how many you have defeated. Mine just keeps showing up as 0 defeated. I just downloaded version 0.92_1 so I am not sure if there is one after that? Just thought I would bring it to your attention. I am enjoying the game totally.
0.92 is the latest version ^.^ And yeah I had a problem with that line on script, in the old version of my game it worked pretty fine until I passed the 100+ battler count. It starts to give an error after defeating an enemy, I better write this on known bug list ^.^ I hope I'll fix that issue, and bring the defeated enemy count future back. Also thank you very much ^.^

Edit: If I bring that line, only the old save games having this issue, new saves are working pretty good. I guess I messed up my scripts a bit :(

Can you add a tab that shows everyones classes? Just an idea. I thought you had one at a certain time.
I'm in the witch's house in chapter two and cannot find the keys to open the chest and the railing area. Help.
The east wing's chest can be opened by doing various things in Manor. Like pulling switches, checking the books on library, unlocking doors etc. You'll most likely notice the progress when doing the right thing, also are you playing on silly mode or not? The railing area chest is a passworded chest, I'll give you a hint for the passworded chest, almost %80 of them song lyrics. ^.^

There is no chest at the railing area that I can see. It just keeps saying that area is locked. The only chest I found was in the east wing, and it is locked and apparently needs a key to open it even though it is a silver password chest. I have found no switches, and I've been everywhere I can go. Guess I'll go through again.

There is a box in north exit of the shop, you are going to find the "Secret Document" inside of it, afterwards bring that item to house with Iron Bars in Chronix.
Regarding the bestiary, a little feature I would have liked to see would be adding the enemy's weaknesses and resistances after an exploit powder has been used on it making it easier to remember each enemy's weaknesses and so that people don't have to use exploit powders twice on the same enemy if they forget.
Oh... Actually you can check the weaknesses without using exploit powder. During the battle, when attacking or using skill on enemy, pressing "shift" button brings the weakness menu. Exploit powder is just a shortcut item to see weaknesses.

Example; You are out of exploit powder and you want to see enemy's weakness. If you deal an attack that exploit enemy's weakness, game will remember that and the weakness can be seen on pressing "shift" when attacking.

I hope this will help. Silly me, I have to write this on tutorial.
I actually just got Suan's scan ability and you mention the shift function there.

Hey I am having a issue Im at the tower on the far south western part of the map. I have the key but it keeps telling me the keyhole is to high?? How do I get inside the tower???
Sorry the Light house its saying the key lock is to high this is driving me nutz!
Okay getting Mio has got to be one of the weirdest ways I've gotten a character. Also I went back to the crazy artist to see if I could beat him now but he wasn't there anymore.

@stradar, go back to where the King lives, there is a jail in west part of castle, talk to Robot thing in there, it'll help you reach the keylock ^.^

@PsychoticCreeper, Well the max party capacity is only 5, if you get the Mio in your party you can't fight with the Crazy artist. If you fight with the Crazy artist before getting cursed eagle, you'll encounter Crazy artist in Zulwhern fight and recruit him.
