After reading Max's review I set off on my greatest adveture yet. A challenge worthy of RPG Maker gods. To beat all of the Boss Projects... AND write simple walkthroughs for each. I don't know if I'm strong enough to prevail, but one step has already been taken. Here's a guide to whipping Chaos's behind. It took me about 1 hour to beat the game for the first time and write the walkthrough.
BEELZEBUB + DARK SOUL
Cast Slow on Beelzebub, Haste on Cleric, Attack Up on Fighter (you can skip this, actually). Red can then cast Regen on Cleric and possibly other party members, but it's not necessary. Ignore Beelzebub, he cannot be killed. Mage casts Blizard Star on Dark soul, Cleric heals party when necessary with Array of Healing, and steals MP from Dark Soul with MP Dissolve. Fighter attacks Dark Soul. Red... picks his nose.
LORD
Ignore Death Tokens, they cannot be killed. Cast Haste/use Fast Token on Cleric and then everyone else (if you want to conserve it then don't use it on Red and possibly Fighter). Cleric absorbs MP, heals any wounded party members, and casts Holy Blast whenever possible. Mage casts a spell of your choice (they are all equally effective). Fighter uses offensive Tokens (once again, of your choice). Red does whatever, it doesn't really matter as he won't contribute much; you can have him use Tokens to speed things up. This battle is all about luck, really; if he opens with the 7-hit combo and kills any character, you can as well not bother and reload. At times he can cast two Stops in a row and miss with both or use weak Bombardment, which makes the fight much, much easier,. So don't hesitate to reset if he seems to completely overpower the party. By the way, you only have about six turns to get him (one Death Token signifies one turn), else it's instant game over.
DARK KNIGHT
Ignore the Body. Cast Slow on God Sword. Haste Cleric; the Head will sometimes remove it, recast it immediately. Cleric does the usual: MP Dissolve, heal party, Holy Blast the Head whenever possible. Fighter uses any Token on the Head, conserve Blizzard Tokens, though. Once the Head is dead, attack the Body using the same tactics; you can freely Haste everyone now. It is weak to Ice, so use Blizzard Tokens and ice spells. He will go down quick.
CHAOS and friends
You can Slow Dark Face and Stave. Do the usual (Haste on Cleric and everyone else, MP Dissolve, heal, Holy Blast, Mage casts any spell, Fighter uses Tokens). Focus on either Stave or Face, and once you are finished kill the other. Use healing items with Red or Fighter if necessary, Cleric should be casting Blast as often as possible. Clear status anomalies with items. Slow and destroy Face Gift once it appears. Ignore Tentacle, and blast Chaos away. Once he loses about 50% of his HP he will gain speed and start casting powerful magic. Heal and revive with items and use offensive spells (Cleric, Mage) or tokens (Fighter, Red) with everyone. He will go down eventually.
