Javert (age 18): A young ranger from Westworth, he takes care of the forest and keeps the villagers safe from any attacks. However, various unusual occurrences and encounters will change Javert and he will set on a journey to discover more about the world and, aided by the crystal spirits, overcome obstacles and see the true face of the continent he knows little of. He’s very curious and naïve, but has a good heart and is willing to go to great lengths in order to help his friends and companions.


Aika (age 19): A spellthief from the order of Kyudai in northern Septria. She has been sent in a mission to Westworth Forest in order to control the released magic from the crystals. She is very similar to Javert in the sense that she knows little of the outside world, as well. Her first mission and her encounter with Javert will lead her to travel with him, and reduce the burden on her quest to control and stop the spread of the crystals’ magic and its misuse. Her traumatic past and rough training under the spellthieves have forged a calm, cool-headed personality, but her true nature has lay within for years, and in this relative freedom she will finally sort out her real emotions and character.


Grin (age 27): A trained bodyguard, Grin travels with Hilias in search for the runaway Guardians. He is ruthless in his views and possesses a strong code of ethics, like most people from his homeland, the militaristic and centralized kingdom of Hedheim. He will often have conflicting views with Javert.


Hilias (age: 36): An invoker from the Redeemers' Guild in Uhr, an association of magicians that seek to study and emulate the magic of the Guardians and emancipate Septrians from their restraint. Learning more from the Guardiands themselves will bring along a change of heart in Hilias's plans and views.


Amarty (age 19): The son of Westworth's last deceased ranger, Kenneth, and a childhood friend of Javert, they grew together in a time of peace. However, recent turmoil in the Westworth Forest caused Kenneth, to investigate in its depths. This incursion, however, cost him his life under the attack of a large group of enraged kobolds. Amarty was in no state to succeed his father as the ranger, so the position was handed to Javert by Westworth's eldest retired ranger, Hawk.


Noemi (age 17): Javert's younger sister and Amarty's childhood friend, Noemi has often assisted them in their ranger training and duties, and as such has some skill. She's kind and cheerful, and always tries to keep a happy face in the harshest of situations. She holds her brother in high regard.
