It was 2010 and my best friend's birthday was coming up in some months so, to someone who has everything and is as every bit of a nerd as I am... what could I give him? Well you guessed right! I made him a game!

The plot centers around two best friends (yeah, me and him) that works for the Empire. One day, their master, who lives secluded in the mountains, sends for them. With the summon requesting them to pay him a visit as soon as possible, they sent out to visit their master... only to receive a weird request that would send them into the road to a long adventure to save the reputation of the while color...

Or something like that. The game is full of obvious (sometimes not so much) references to the music world, mostly to rock bands and characters. It was intended to be so.

Some of the most interesting features of the game:
* Rocker reference! It's everywhere. Hope you can find every one of them. :)
* Custom graphics! Almost every character in the game was hand drawn by me.
* Modified battle scene! See the screenshots.
* Battle animations! The main characters are fully animated, and at least the last
boss is too!
* Mountain, cave, beach, plains, city, snowy mountains, swamp and evil castle.
Eight stages until you meet the evil dark lord!
* One long side quest and lots of hidden treasures!

Well, that's it. It's been two years since then and I guess he won't be mad at me to share it with you now. I hope to receive some feedback from the community around here too so I can keep improving. Thanks and have fun!

Font Problem

Ah yes, the font... I used a custom font in this game and it probably will request it during gameplay. You can get it here:

http://www.dafont.com/pixantiqua.font

It's free and released for the general public so don't worry, it's safe. Just download and install it and the game should work fine.

Sorry for that. My bad.

That is, quite frankly, an awesome reason to make a game.

Why, thanks, I do think so myself too. With the time limit of 2 months I was not able to deliver a gigantic game, but the end result pleased him and me too. He loved it and I was able to learn some thing or another about the workings of RPG Maker XP (even to this day my favorite maker). :)
Self-made battlers(and possibly sprites)?! That sure is rare. At least through all the RPG Maker-games I've played.

Yes, I've made them all (except of course for the standard RPGMaker VX Monsters). And the portraits of dialogue too. =]
