Super RMN Bros. is a collaborative community project where members of the rpgmaker.net website use the Super Mario Bros. X engine to create Mario levels. These stages are refined and compiled into one big game at the end of the event. This is the third installment in the series, and the first to be managed by halibabica. The game mimics the physics of the Mario games of yore; specifically Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World.

The game requires SMBX to run. This website does not provide illicit programs; we only condone their use. Google is your friend. When you've obtained the engine itself, unzip this game's download into SMBX's 'Worlds' folder. Run SMBX, click 'Start Game', and you're ready to play!

The Plot: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, and Link have stumbled into RMN's Pit of Challenges, where they must gather stars from the worlds created by our users if they ever hope to escape. With 110 levels to explore and 150 stars to find, they have their work cut out for them!

Ready for Download!

After nearly three and a half months, this thing's ready and available to play!

The main download is the normal version of the game. It has star requirements for higher worlds, mini-boss, and boss levels. The extra 'unlocked' download removes all star requirements except those for the final level and leaving the pit.

Have fun!

The game is too long because the event was left open about 3-4 weeks too long.

Some really good levels were produced in that time. The real problem was that the terrible levels weren't cut. That would have reduced game length by at least 30%.
Still making that review, almost done, just have to finish this world 9 still...

Believe me, I'm sure levels that didn't fit with Talking Time's vision and overall design were thrown out quickly.

Having a game with zero design is like putting 1000 monkeys in a room with typewriters and hoping for Shakespeare.
Did you cut even a single level hali? Besides mine, that is. (lol I will forever more be known as the only one who had their level cut from RMN3)

Those odds are astronomical.
Ok i was exaggerating a bit. What if there was 1000 monkeys that all knew what Shakespeare is and had books and... I can't say anything that makes sense nvm

After you get out there is a door that requires every single star on the game, this will lead to the cut levels bin, where your level is too. No names are given for the makers of these levels.

Oh, and no I didn't get all stars. I cheated and looked in the editor what was in there to make sure would it be worth the hunt.

Yep. From the sounds of things, that world should've been ten times larger.
You know, for someone like me whos prone to rage-quitting on rediculously difficult games or levels, I have to say that Super RMN Bros 3 was actually a pretty enjoyable game. Considering I got 179 stars but couldn't beat "The Impossible Star", I still enjoyed the game for what it had to offer, especially the creative level designs, so I wouldn't bash this game as badly as some of you guys have. I never once considered this game to be a failure the whole time I played it.

I would offer the 1st review for this game, but I spaced the playing intervals so much from the frustration that I don't remember every level or remember who made which level. I'm currently playing the 1st one now since I didn't play it yet & I still have to finish the 2nd one (I ragequitted toward the end of that one so bad I deleted it from my computer but redownloaded it to give it another go.)

All in all, I'm glad I got to play this game. It definately showed promise, whether you're a pro level designer or someone whos still learning. I still think this was a great game & I'm looking forward to Super RMN Bros 4 if you guys decide to make it or any other projects you guys have to offer.
I played some of Talking Time 2, it's not as awesome as I was expecting. Maybe as an overall cohesive game experience it's better. But looking at individual levels, I'd say for the most part both games are equal.
Welp, there is a review in the submissions queue for this already. It is not painting as flattering a picture as Animebryan or Link_2112 are suggesting.
Does it give makerscore? That's all I care about.

I wanted to recompile RMNB2 but never got around to it. I think a serious restructuring of this game would get people to see it the way I do. I just don't know if I care enough to put in that effort. TBH, I still haven't finished playing all these levels.

It does me good to hear someone actually liked it (besides me, at least).

Link_2112's opinion is also rather surprising. I haven't tried TT Bros. 2 yet, so I can't really say.

Is it AncientNoob's? Did we get .5 stars?

RMN Bros 3 definitely had more memorable levels.

Me too! Three SMBX games SOLO and I have this lousy score.

Oh, ok. I just submitted a blog and some images so the urge has passed for now :P

I've been playing this game with a friend, and discovered that one of my levels is impossible to beat with 2 players heh Good thing 2P wasn't a requirement.

I tried to make 2P banned, but it's actually impossible. Even if you don't place the 2P start point, the game spawns both characters in the same space.

So, I randomly picked this up. The first world? The one that's supposed to be the easiest? Nowhere close to being easy with some of these stages. Also, what stage was that? Vivid Void? Yeah, that stage seems like it should have fit very comfortably into the 2011 Summer Games with it's "water" above the land masses.

I'm not sure I'm going to make much commentary beyond this, to be honest. The experience has not, exactly, been a happy one thus far.

I'm gonna make nothing but easy stages for Super RMN World.
