"This world sits on the edge of an abyss. The moment you forget it's there, the moment you get comfortable - that's when you fall into it's darkest depths."

On the world of Villnoire, a war between two races reaches breaking point. The story follows Lukas, an unfulfilled man living on the under populated island of Palmira. Lukas finds his life thrust into chaos when a series of lucky coincidences leads him to meet Vivian, a girl who isn’t quite what she seems. Driven by a senseless conflict and those who pursue him, Lukas is drawn into a battle he can no longer escape. He slowly learns he is not alone, and a shared common goal cannot only unite a team of unlikely friends - but unite a whole nation.

The Penultimate Push

Hey everyone, just another update with my regular monthly blog that you all know and love. Huh? What do you mean I don’t have a regular blog? My last update was only in... Oh, September 2018. Yikes, sorry about that.

There are two things I want to cover. Firstly, where’s this new demo I often dangle in front of you like some cruel tease, but then I don’t actually deliver? Well, my plan is for the updated demo to represent the quality the final game, but I’m pretty useless at spotting even simple errors. The teaser demo was to tread the water, this next demo is to sell the game to you guys (without actually selling the game because it’s not commercial, but you know what I mean). I don’t feel like I can release the next demo yet because I’m scared until I know it’s fully playable, no game breaking bugs and no shameless typos.

So yeah, is anyone else willing to be my extra slave beta tester? Even if you have never done it before, absolutely anyone can be a beta tester (it’s not exactly a privilege). I don’t specific criteria, but anyone with a good eye for typos would be nice, and someone who’s happy to try and break the game. I don’t have a time limit, but I’m literally waiting with a demo build I can just click “upload” and it could be available in minutes, which is pretty exciting for me!

Secondly, I just wanted to actually give you a progress update. I’ve been a fairly busy and unsociable boy as of late. I’m basically in the final push BEFORE the final push. The penultimate push, if you will. To put it in context that makes sense outside of my own deluded thoughts, I’m about 80% complete. Shocking, isn’t it? I never thought I’d actually get close to finishing a game either. I might be happy to get the new demo updated as soon as possible, but I am in no rush to complete the game. For that reason I don’t want to promise a date, as I want to take my time and get the beast finished.

Thanks so much for sticking with me for so long. My heart is going into this game, and I appreciate all the support you've given to me massively. I hope it is worth the wait!

this game looks great. cant wait to try it
Oh, your that guy on the forum who was asking about maps right? You make pretty nifty maps. I'm not a harsh judger but if the map looks sweet, it makes the game 100 times better. Plus I like your sweet looking customization. I'll definitely need to keep an eye on this.
Hey, this is looking pretty awesome, keep up the good work. :)
Looks pretty solid. I'll hold off on my rating until you release something playable though.
It's like toothpicks against a tank
Your mapping is quite good.
lol i know those sprites... i like your maping is very clean.
Haha, everyone keeps saying this looks solid. A hell of a lot of my work is on paper not rpgmaker though, including mock up drawings of maps and speech. I'm finding it harder to concentrate on the project now, the solid progress is rapidly fading...Thanks for all the great supportive comments!
The concept sounds neat. I'm looking forward to some solid RPG games.

3 Stars? I haven't even released anything yet. Gimme a break.
Wow, that comment below makes me sound like an ungrateful jerk. I'm really glad to have 10 subscribers and these great comments. I know not everyone is going to like this or even play this.
When is a demo coming? I've been wanting to play this game for a while. This is torture!
Thanks DD but I don't really know what's happening with this game yet. I'm making a total of three games all together and this has been left in the dark, the other two are no way near as epic and I‘m having more fun making them, I think I took on too much at once and I think a lot of it needs to go back to the drawing board. I don't really consider myself a good game designer to be honest, so I'm struggling a bit, I should really look for a team project. When I know myself what I'm going to do with this, you'll be the first to know. I certainly don't want to cancel it.
I hopw this is one of the demos coming out for Release Something! day.
The status has been changed to canceled. That stinks, man. Your game looked so cool and you have a great game making philosophy.
I just noticed the game was cancelled. What happened LWG?
This may sound cheesy and unoriginal but don't give up man and don't call yourself a bad game designer it just takes determaination. I've tried about 8 times to make a game and they've all messed up somehow but I'm not giving up. I have a good feeling about my current project and one day I'm gonna release a game on here just you wait I'm not giving up. So just keep at it and have fun with it. And if you get bad review don't worry. I'm sure I will when I finally put out my game since I can't script to save my life, lol. But don't worry any kind of review means that people are playing your game so that's good. So yeah just keep it up you'll get there I know I will too
Awh Thanks Vivi, that really means a lot. Thanks for your support! I think I have a good atitude towards game making, I mean, one review would make this all worth it for me, I'm not really interesting in attention and people blowing smoke up my ass. Its really nice to see all the awesome comments I got, and 15 subscribers!! (WOW) But this project is no more, I'm sorry. I wish you luck Vivi in your future projects I'mma gonna keep an eye on you!
