Was wondering what you were quoting that song for at first, then I was like, "Oh, that's the battle music." XD
I get some strange amusement out of changing the battle theme around.
Oh and I'll try to post these video updates regularly, as progress continues. If I can show off something every 2-3 weeks I'll be in good shape.

I'm assuming it was a fluke that when you moved him to the back row at the end of the video that the damage went up, right? Was it a critical?

author=Archeia_NessiahRight, I honestly tried getting it going along the side or at the top, but the general feedback I got was that it looked cramped and unintuitive. VSB's battle system is pretty much flawless and I'll be lucky if I can get something running half as good as Lachsen's. In general, of the three interfaces I presented, this one got the most love.
Reminds me a lot of velsarbors CTB there. But good job so far
author=DemicrusaiusYes, that was a critical hit. Normal damage has a variance of 90%-110% damage, but criticals always do 110% damage and ignore 50% of the enemy's defense. In the future, yes, positioning will affect lots of things, including damage. I'm glad you like it.

Wait.. Are you going custom battle system on us? Looks great and very fluid but my god have I seen so many games fall apart once they decided CBS is the way to go. Love the song choice.

I think the difference between my game and other cbs games is the time I've spent prior to this point working on the game--nearly a decade now! I think I can do it. I enjoy challenging myself with rpg maker.
