You are one of the few! I personally think it was the best minigame of the Final Fantasy series, and unlike FFX-2, which got rid of the blitzball minigame, I wanted to keep FF8's original but expand upon it (like card tournaments).

Nothing reasonable, I just don't really like mini games. Or card games for that matter. Well I do like one or two games which I don't remember much.

Alright, that's fine. Thanks for being honest. I think that's why it's important that mini-games remain optional, I hate when you're forced to play them to progress.
Yeah, the Treno sequence in FF9 bugged the hell out of me because despite my love for Triple Triad, I hated Tetra Master. Blegh.

Aww..Tetra Master wasn't that bad, lol I liked both card games which I played nothing but both of 'em for hours on end. o_o
(That changed when Blitzball came into play..it may not be a card game, but I just didn't like it since I'm not much for sports~ :3)

I know, right? I once played Daxter on PSP, the final minigame was hard as fuck and it WASN'T optional.

Yeah, the game was pretty cool and all, especially the fighting which was awesome, like the Jak games, and the guns Daxter uses as a jetpack flying device thing.
BUT THE MINIGAMES.

I actually really loved beating the shit out of orcs as Daxter-Gimli.
And the dream sequences had great references to the first game, which doesn't happen much in J&D! Since the first game had such a different vibe to the sequels.
I spent hours upon hours on the second Matrix minigame. I was super-good at it.

Haha, I was terrible at it! I was terrible at every dream sequence actually. But I did enjoy seeing a Neo-Daxter. I wish there were unlockable outfits :3

Amaterasu: Unlocking gold on Indiana Jones got you the hat, unlocking gold on another level got you Daxter's pants.

I was referencing the original's palette, but these are from scratch.

I thought they were a copy of the original icons, to be honest!
At least that kinda means I'm doing my job~!
The Earth, Light and Dark have different symbols to FF8, though, since Dark was originally Poison (and I declare this alignment dumb) and the Earth icon looked nothing like Earth.
Here Light and Dark are Yin and Yang because they're not necessarily 'evil' forces.
And earth is a rock.
Plus these are higher resolution than the originals.
