CloseIf you make the texture loop vertically and stretch horizontally, whilst having the texture be 1px stripes, it won't look odd, believe me. =]

I tried that once and it looked horrible xD Probably because it stretched the texture and it looked awkward.
If you make 1-pixel height striped textures it'll tile pretty nice! I'm talking about that striped sort of metal texture btw =DDDDD <3
BTW the original FF8 systemset is slightly yellow-tinted. IT's a yellowish gray. I think it'd look cooler if you tinted the systemset yellow a VERY SLIGHT bit, like this:
