Black Magic
Shatter will come in handy against enemies that use Reflect or have a passive Reflect state. In fact, since passive states cannot be removed, Shatter will be a great source of constant bonus damage against those targets. =)
Red Magic
So there, Lyra finally has a spell that deals HP damage. Quickening + Pain + Exploit = damage, son. For an even nastier use of this spell, have Lyra drop this on an enemy after Dajh uses Bad Breath. Ouch.
- Shatter: Deals magical damage on a single enemy and nullifies Reflect. Deals extra damage on targets under the effects of Reflect.

- Exploit: Deals magical damage on a single enemy. Deals extra magical damage for each negative status condition affecting the target.

I'm sorry that TFT is not exhilarated by the addition of two simple spells, nor their addition as a reason to make a blog plost
It's an update on new things added to the game. I think it's perfectly OK to make a blog post about such things.
Also, I don't care what exhilarates TFT. =) 'Sides, I keep my new blog posts to one per day. If I update anything else, I'll just edit this blog post to include it like I have been doing.

Dunno if this would need to change the entire way of how it is coded, but I think shatter could actually remove the Reflect state even if it is a passive. In my mind, seeing it shattering and shattering again without reforming is weird xD. Didn't that reflecting film just shattered? That could be "fixed" of course with a little "regenerating reflect film" animation :P.
The second thought around it is about making possible to the player to use other magics on the passive-reflect enemy. But I suppose that's just the thing you want to avoid.
Anyway, salut C:.
