FInished up the status menu design, and hey! You can finally see your Limit Breaks outside of battle. ^_^

You might notice some key differences in this screenshot. For one, Cid's surname has changed from Marquez to Margrace. You might also notice characters can now equip three Relics at once instead of only two.

We came to that decision after seeing some of the potential Relic combos that equipping three Relics would create.

Awww... too bad. I wish you had posted the Parker screen. Heh.

Nice work!

I was doing all my testing with a Cid-only party when I snapped this one. :/
That menu really looks solid. I think the menu finally fills out perfectly. Really good job. It still keeps me anticipated for t he game even more now.
The menu is pretty and all, but where is the "Level" display? Or am I blind? "Level" could be easily placed above "Att.Power" IMO. Also, I'd place Strength above Speed, mainly because how it's listed in pretty much every FF with these stats.

Also, I need to rename Cid's page on the Wiki now, huh? Shameless Wiki promoting. Maybe I'll get a user or two 'cause being alone there sure ain't cool.
Level and Job Class actually are listed (they're just not in this screen).

Parameters are displayed in the order in which they are in the database, and that can't be changed without rewriting the method that lists them completely, which I'm not doing just to get two lines of text swapped. It's fine the way it is.

Did I ever mention how much I appreciate you working on that? :)

I wish I could lend a hand, but I've already got a full plate at the moment. William and I actually have whole Google Doc folders worth of spreadsheets, etc for FFD. In fact, I've got a "wiki" myself (for our development purposes) that I've been maintaining that's currently close to 550 entries (and rising!)
I didn't imply you or Will helping me with the Wiki, besides I need to update at least all important characters from the first Blackmoon Prophecy with story info (I'm possibly not done even in 5% regarding the whole plot and the game has huge info dumps in it, thanks goodness FFBPII is much more 'organised' in that matter). You two just work on meeting that #DecemberGoal/#JanuaryGoal (whatever you consider to be the better option to release the new demo).
Ca. 550 entries is quite a number I say, and it rising is actually both frightening and heartwarming (gives me even more entries for 'my' Wiki to work with).

Also, Couillie, don't worry about that stat display: it was just kinda unsual to see those stats listed in that order. There's no real point in meddling with scripts for such small thing; better to use that time on working on the actual game.

I do wonder when do you intend to close the demo and what is the estimated play time by the time it'll end. Previous one I remember closed after the battle with a Wyvern on Mt. Gagazet and we got Lyra as a reward for finishing the demo.

It was actually the Wyvern on the Mi'ihen Highroad.

Not sure on estimated playtime, but the stopping point we have for our next build isn't actually that much further from the old one unfortunately. This is simply because a lot of the old game has been uprooted and redesigned.

We'll definitely reassess as we get closer to finishing the build. Even if we had to close the demo out there, I'd still think it'd be cool to throw in some extras to tinker with (like the Coliseum?) for the player. This may or not be possible considering we don't want to brick your saves anymore from build to build. However, with the constant addition and fine-tuning of our assets right now... bricking your next build saves might just be inevitable. We'll see.
Aye! I was thinking about a FFX location but why did the mountain came to my mind I don't know; sorry.

Yeah, that Mysidia redesign is something I'm eagerly awaiting to see. It appears as PS1 FF cities came to RPG Maker. ;) And all those systems and enemy AIs and everything!

I don't really mind ending up where the previous demo ended since there appears to be quite a lot of new content to what already existed.

Either way, I'm fired up! ^o^

To be exact...

The tentative new locations in the next build immediately after Mi'ihen Highroad are as follows:

-Figaro Castle
-South Figaro
-Valis Media
-Carwen
-Macalania Woods
-Matoya's Mansion
If we can swing it, we might be able to also include Sanubia Sandway in there, too. The maps and events are already finished for that area.

I hope that the "But there's sand on my boots!" or something similar stayed.

I love the sound of Matoya's Mansion. Out of all the songs in the fight Final Fantasy, Matoya's Cave theme was probably my favorite.

If we're talking about the first FF, mine is definitely a tie between the Underwater Temple theme and the Chaos Shrine theme.
