Choosing a Limit Break now has a display more like Final Fantasy VII. All other skills still use the normal display window.

Excellent.

You know... looking at this screenshot just reminded me of how I'm going to have to make some custom battlebacks in the future, hah. It completely slipped my mind.
Wow, this looks pretty good, I'm digging the vibrancy and settings. One thing though, that ghost's shadow is kinda off-putting when it's airborne like that.

The initial airship battleback had no open sky.

I definitely know I'm going to have make some new airship battlebacks. I wonder how difficult it would be to throw in a moving sky parallax for the BG... and how laggy it will get once everything else has been set up and implemented.
We already have moving battlebacks, zero lag. Huzzah.

Oh do we now? I never took that into account. Hmmm... time to do some google doc editing later this weekend.
The Magitek Cycle sequence video I posted a long while back shows it in action.
VICKS BBY Y U DEAD?]

Also, I'd rephrase "This ability ignores enemy Defense." to "This ability ignores enemy's Defense." The current description implies as there is an actual enemy called "Defense" which I doubt is in the game, or is even planned.

Do we really have to go Final Fantasy VII way with Limit Breaks? Final Fantasy VIII's was much better in my opinion: you could just press the right arrow and a new window with the character specific Limit Break command would appear. In Final Fantasy VII, I feel like I'm wasting Limit Breaks on the small prey.

You'll still be able to attack normally when the Limit gauge is full. You're also not forced to use a Limit Break. You can switch to another character with the X key or use a different skill if you want to save your Limit charge.
Am I crazy or does there seem to be a little more color to the models in the game now?

Oh yeaahh... I completely forgot about that. That seems like it was ages ago, haha.

It's probably the contrast from the lighter shade of the battleback.
