That's it.

No more mud slinging against this game; it's becoming a problem. It got old in April. We were all a kid once; I don't think we would've appreciated such perpetual douchebaggery. Anyone who posts a comment in this thread that is unrelated to constructive and relevant game feedback will receive a warn.

RMN is a place for constructive feedback. If a game is trash, it's trash; people will usually realize this shortly after release. We had our amusement and offered our feedback (however negative it is) and now it's time to move on. Besides, all this nonsense keeps bumping this game to the main page, and I would prefer the main page to have content made by more experienced users.

(And even if Jomarcenter is a troll, you're feeding him and encouraging future projects like this.)

i am discourage of bullying newbie developer like me and all the other developer in here.
ANY BULLYING POST IN ANY JOMARCENTER GAMES WILL BE REPORTED TO THE STAFF OF RPGMAKER.NET AND DEPEND OF WHAT THE ACTION THAT THE STAFF MAY DO, THE RESULT MAY LEAD TO A BAN/WARN ON THIS SITE

and also KaRNoFeRoZ had pm me an apology

I'm sorry for being a total asshole. I shouldn't have said all those hurtful things about your game. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me

Apology was accepted and his action on what he made was cleared.

some user here are new in rpgmaker series and some of them are trying to work hard to make their games good. it take people month to master a certain programs so be polite to other and stop all this nonsense post.
thank you for your cooperation

I hate to come across as the kind of person you might be talking about, but this is the best blog I've seen you write. Yes, I'm totally serious about this. I mean, it actually says stuff rather than one-or-two sentences that could just be a regular comment!
Helping jomar develop his skills and become better with RPG Maker (and the English Language) is more rewarding than trashing him each time he posts something.

We're (mostly) all adults, so we should act as such and pride ourselves on being helpful to beginners rather than being detrimental to their progress. I was definitely one of the guys who was being a bit too sarcastic towards jomar, but I realized that it was a twat thing to do and now I'm trying to help the poor guy out. I hope everyone else follows suit.

The fact that jomar is openly saying "please stop" shouldn't be laughed off either. We need to help this guy. He's young, English isn't his native language, and he's new to RPG Maker. All of the faults in his games should be forgiven for those three reasons.
Plus his logo is totally wicked.
Rather than him telling me he was going to file a lawsuit against me for making a spoof of his old game, we didn't have any problems. But, even after all that noise, I never did put him down for how goofy that whole ordeal was!
Best blog post you've ever done man..I used to go through "bullying" myself back when I was in high school, so I know what it's like. (It was mainly because I slept during class like every day, and almost never talked.. xD)

Keep developing this man, you've got my support~ :3 (On both your projects.)
I've seen a lot of rude comments on this site and I can't believe the lack of respect some people have. I understand this is the internet and with it comes a sense of disassociation from reality that empowers certain people to show their worst qualities.

Not everyone here is extremely talented at writing, graphics, music, mapping or whatever it happens to be they are doing. What they are doing is putting themselves out there in a very personal way. When a person chooses to shit all over someone else's creative works they choose to shit all over the entire community and what it stands for. I can't even understand how anyone would view this behavior as acceptable given this is mostly a hobbyist club for nerds/geeks who likely at one point in their life got bullied (raises hand).

I personally believe in heavy praise and only offering criticism sparingly or when asked for. Even then I try to keep it light. Most people here need encouragement more than anything else. You never know when someone might be thinking of throwing in the towel when if they had kept at it they could have ended up being the next Shigeru Miyamoto. I for one welcome more good games into this world.

Ah that's funny! I thought that I was the only one who did that in high school! I'd stay up all night playing FFVII and FFVIII, then sleep all day in school with my middle finger up in the air! Now that I drink and party with people who used to bring me down, they no longer flick me shit! Weird how it all works out.
Monthigos, best comment I've read here in quite some time.

There are certainly going to be rude comments everywhere, but criticism is dished out pretty well here relative to other communities I've been in. Some of the older RPG Maker communities were three times harsher than the harshest regulars on RMN. I think criticism is healthy and necessary for improvement, as long as it's worded properly. Saying a game "sucks" is unacceptable and deconstructive; however, saying a game "could use work in these areas..." can only serve to help developers.

I know this blog is like two weeks old now but I feel that I should probably say a few words since arguably I'm one of the worst offenders.

jomarcenter, I sincerely apologise for my treatment of you and for the horrible things I said about you to others. The Let's Play thing was a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun but after that I took things way too far and I really should know better.

I'm not sure if you saw the open letter I posted, but regardless that was a terrible idea, was not like me at all, and I am a horrible person for posting it.

I hope you'll accept my apology and wish you all the best in your future game making endeavours.

...edit: yeah, that looks pretty lame when you look at my user title. That was just meant to be a joke, I swear!

well since a few of people apologized about what they did but there is some user outside of this site saying how horrible is one of my game and sometime comment rude things about it. i don't know why some user did not understand that there some user who is still learning how to make rpg maker games and still comment badly about their game. but i hoped that everything will fix soon. there still some people inside and outside of this site need to apologize about what they did.
Well to be fair, a lot of people also make fun of your games because of the poor English. We're a pretty mean and negative species. That's partly why I offered to help with your dialogue, since your English is something that will surely take more time to improve and isn't directly RPG Maker related. By helping with your dialogue, people can then concentrate exclusively on the areas where you really do need improvement, and they can (and should) help you with that.

I was actually going to run through the most recent demo and make improvements to the dialogue/text, but there are some bits with images that can't be so easily redone (like the newspaper for instance) and I confess (and this is in no way a dig at you jomar) that in some places I honestly had no idea what was going on so I couldn't rewrite the dialogue for it.

I might see what I can do on my own and let jomar know if there are bits I'm not sure about.
Lol, the thing I never could completely get is, if Alex is so rich, then why does his "Fake" mom order him to the market to get some, and then he thinks to himself that she's abusing him..? :o (It's just a little odd~ :3)

I tried doing that. I worked out what he was trying to say and wrote it, but some bits I couldn't even work out what he thought he was writing.

I have not played any of the games made my JoMar but I can't believe he is the only game maker living in the philippines.

Is there any way he can find another game maker who uses RPGmaker in the Philippines who might he able to help him with the spelling and grammar ???
