Ok, so are those things on the sides of the doors indents in the walls, or are they sticking out?

Perception is a hell of a thing, but I see them as sticking out. If they were sinking in, they wouldn't be structurally sound... not that half the things in the game are.

The door itself has four frames as it drags open, with sound effect. :)
