I played this game not expecting much, but it's surprisingly well-written. Graphics are a bit of a crapshoot, but that's completely understandable for something made in 5 hours. It works as a satire of the video game industry, including how the crowds perceive what is a good game, and what critics judge what titles live and what releases die. A reprehensible game gets rave reviews and ships 5 million units, whereas a quality game suffers, and the developer gets depressed and wants to die. This is a joke but it's sometimes true. There's criticism here of critics who love games that are easy to play because they have no real skills or experience in gaming, and the only reason why they review games is because their degree in journalism doesn't give them many jobs, so they turn to this.
So the maps are terrible, but the story serves as a witty satire of working in the video game industry with light-hearted tone and levity. Now I'm going to end with some typos/bugs. You'd probably fix these if this wasn't a 5-hour game you wanted to leave behind and have everyone forget about.
Typos:
"Taking my game, turning it into a *liscenced* pile of crap" -- Should be *licensed*
"If there's one thing I'm looking forward *too*" -- Should be *to*
"An *adaption* of the new hit" -- Should be *adaptation*
At the end of "now time to get my team", it shows a clone of you looking left. Then you enter the room looking left. He should be looking down if he just entered the room.
EYEGN: "I *actualy* don't like any video games at all" Should be "actually"
"Whoah... *deju* vu" should be deja
That's all the ones I found. It's probably inconsequential though, knowing that this is a game made in 5 hours. I spent 7 hours writing this review. The truth is, I latched onto this game because I was searching for games tagged "Simulation", but this is very Simulation-lite. The truth is, I haven't found many good Simulation games on this site. It's a bit of a shame, but if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.
Oh, and I hope to see you create and write a *real* game because I think your writing chops are outta this world. Later!
