When Juan Kargon is faced with the kidnapping of his brother, he is thrust into a desperate battle to discover the past of Pentoa. Assisted by Professor Volk, outcast of the Kreybos tribes, and Kiarra, a magess who's past eludes even her, Juan sets out to disover the mysteries of his homeland.

But the company aren't the only ones bent on finding ancient secrets. A mysterious figure named Zazrael haunts Juan at his every move. As Juan comes closer to discovering Pentoa's past, what will he find out about himself. More importantly, what will he discover about the shadowy Zazreal, who's determination to obtain Pentoa's secrets override his beleif in humanity itself.

Company of hearts is an action-rpg done in the tradition of Zelda and the Mana series. The game features the following:

-Graphics ripped from Live a Live on the SNES.

-“Celtic-styled” music.

-A Zelda-styled ABS.

-Play as one of 3 characters: The speedster Juan, the warrior professor Volk, or the magess Kiarra. Characters can be changed using the 2 and 3 keys.

-Use 30 different weapons and abilities including bombs, a whip, magical talismans, and strange machines from a time long past.

-10 dungeons to explore- each one filled with puzzles and dangerous enemies.

Reality Check for COH

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates. I've been doing a lot over the last few months- Moving house, new job (a teacher in a high school- stressful stuff), not to mention waiting for my wife to give birth to child number two in the family.

But in all the time that I haven't been working on this game, I have had the opportunity to think long and hard about what kind of game I want this to be.

There have been some hard decisions being made, but I think they're neccessary if I ever want to produce a game worth its salt.

Firstly, the CMS will not be in the demo, and may not be in the final game. I'm sorry to people who were attracted to the menu, but if you saw the eventing, you would realise that it's just a big, clunky mess. The DMS may end up being the way I go for the rest of the title.

Other than that, I've given the demo it's first full playthrough. Suffice to say: oh boy! we gotta long way to go.

Thanks to those who have been following this game's progress, you have given me plenty of motivation to continue creating, and hopefully, something great will come your way soon.
