Dark Minds Demo v1.0 coming soon!

It's only been two days since the game page was put up, and the demo for Dark Minds is already on it's way! The demo consists of approx. 15 min of gameplay, featuring the entire prolouge!

I'll be working extremely hard to post more content, such as the first chapter, as soon as I can. I'm hoping this game does slightly better than my others (considering I gave them up), and can't wait to hear some feedback about what I have so far.

Expect a working demo tomorrow!

Don't forget to let Deckiller know you're submitting this project, as he requested he be notified of any Non-NAgademo projects separately. Wouldn't want you to miss out on the MS for it by mistake!
I played the game. Here are some notes~
- Why is heroic difficulty easier than hard difficulty

- Why is breaking out of jail so easy? Crowbar in my cell? lol wat.

- When Bruce joins, why doesn't he take his recorder? Isn't that important?

- Bruce...you are one useless mother hugger.

- When I touch the save computer, the first sound makes me feel as though I've already saved...which was jarring.

- The first battle is unbalanced. I played it on hard, and this asses would 2/3 shot me. Needless to say, I had to restart on easy so that I could progress.

- My heal is useless

- My healing item is useless (500 is good...50 is bull
.
- Why can't I start with skills. Pressing "attack" all day isn't fun.

- I can walk on a lot of things that I shouldn't be walking on.

- Bruce you a$$, why do you help me fight this one guy that takes 2 turns to kill, but not the stupid commander who almost kills me on easy difficulty?!

- I forgot to equip the rune...which might have made the boss easier. Just a note.

- My character feels unsafe that Bruce is not with her :P

-Yeah, I really hate this Bruce guy.

Well, sorry you hate Bruce so much, but he is just a support character. The battles I can easily fix, along with the hard/heroic thing.
I don't really hate him, I just think his character needs more use.
The mc could have probably escaped without him, which really made me feel weird.

But, bruce pretty much operates as a Tutorial Character... Besides, that was only the Prolouge, he makes a come-back in such a HUGE way! XD
By being the main character of Synthetic Odyssey!? xD

Well, I haven't tried this out myself yet since I'm still half asleep, but prologue characters don't always need to be weak. Lol, look at Sephiroth in FFVII, I mean during Cloud's (fake) retelling of the Nibelheim incident, he was lv50, and could slay a green dragon in only a few hits~ :3

Just play it Sana and you will understand. XD Btw, Chris, did you talk to the robot? :3

What I mean was he tries to break me out (which I break out myself)
After so, he give me a gun and sets back while I get shot by 3 trained men.

With that, I find some random dude to kill--which Bruce somehow someway thinks I need his help. >.>

And then to top off his crap, I fight the very trained, very powerful boss, only to find Bruce crying in the corner.

The things he did just didn't make sense story-wise. I don't see why he can't just stay in my
stupid party :3 Not saying it was bad design, per say. It was just weird.

Edit: No, I didn't talk to any robot.

Okay, well talk to the robot when u are near the control room. And Bruce is just a guest character, he isn't actually supposed to be a party person till later... Also, going back to Veronica's healing, it's mainly for party stuff. It gets stronger with level...
Then why give it to me at the start of the game?
Why not increase the base healing, so that it has a use in early levels- where I don't have 4 people.

Well, the party fills right after the prolouge... And I can't exactly lock the command... Plus, I can't do much about it since it runs off of MAT, too high, and it will be way to easy to beat the boss.

No, not for the start of the game.
Hey, here's an idea!
Put a common event that makes the heal also restore a set amount of HP (500ish) to the mc. that should balance the spell without making it too overpowered.
I mean having skills that are op at the beginning of the game isn't bad. In fact, it's really awesome for the player xD
Just don't have it like that at end-game...obviously.
That's how I have my heals, lol Sana's first/weakest one fully heals him at lv1, and still a little lower than half even at lv15~ :3

Well, it dosn't work that way... The skill is imput into a command... Even if it's powerful in the beginning, its gonna be poweful at the end...

Did u guys like it at all though...? :(
It's okay.
Just needs more polish. I would love to see a more complete demo, so I have more to really review.
The concept is good. OF was your best, but this plot has its stars.
