Want to have a Boss designed by YOU featured in the next update? Look Inside!

For the next update I was looking for something a little MORE, and wanted to give you (the players) a chance to have a boss monster of your design featured in the next update of Heroes of Tsufana.

As some of you may (or may not) know, there are already several bosses in the game that were designed by a few well known members of RMN: Sir Kentonus (by Kentona), and ENUO (by UPRC). Yours could be next!

What I'm looking for is roughly three extra optional bosses to add into the next update: one for players within the level range of 8-12; another for 18-25; a final for 30+. KEEP IN MIND that due to the style and design of this game that the bosses you will be submitting CANNOT be too complex with abilities and skills outside of what the basic RM2K3 battle system is capable of.

What do I need from YOU? Simple:

-A graphic for your boss monster that matches the NES side-view style of the game.
-List of abilities that your monster will utilize.
-Weaknesses and Strengths (elements that may be effective against or absorbed by the monster).
-Brief history of your monster and the type of environment they'll be fought in (Cave, Castle, or Tower).
-Due to balancing purposes I'll have to be the one who assigns stat values to the monster. Just tell me if the boss is supposed to have LOW, MED, or HIGH HP, STR, etc.
-You can reference the Character Info page to find out when each character learns a certain spell, etc. that may work in the strategy against the boss.

You CAN submit a boss for each category (Early, Mid, and Late-game), but I will only be choosing three of my favorite submissions to include in the game.

Have any more questions? Then fire away!

The elements used within the game are:
FIRE, ICE, BOLT, WIND, and EARTH.

The common status ailments are:
Death, Poison, Confuse, Stop, Berserk, Sleep, Blind, Slow, Gravity, Mindloss*, Stun, Silence, Haste, Power, Defense, Magic, GainHP, GainMP, Weak**, Broken***, Shatter****, MgcLoss*****

* Destroys 50% of target's MP on the turn they're inflicted
** Lowers ATK
*** Lowers DEF
**** Lowers INT
***** Inflicted character loses 1% of total MP per-turn for several turns.

Alright! Something to play with this weekend.
Would you be interested in incorporating one of my Dragon Quest Legacy of the Lost exclusive bosses?

My favorite of them are either Basilisk or Torchtree.

Name: Wandering Wizard

Abilities:
- Lv.3 Magic. (Fire, Ice, Thunder, Wind, Earth)
- Gravity All every 15 turns
- Ultima once his HP hits 44%
- Weaken, MgcLoss once his HP hits 66%

Weaknesses and Strengths
-Strong against Fire and Ice
-Weak against Wind
-Can only be hit by Poison, Sleep, Blind, and Slow. (C resistance to each)

A wandering wizard from a faraway place, he became trapped within the Forest of Parallel. Over time he became corrupt and would attack anyone in sight.

Low Attack
Medium Defence, Health, and Agility
High MP and Intellect

He is intended to be a late game boss
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So how is it?

I'll gladly consider it, Orias, but first you must provide me with the proper information! Depending how many I get after a certain amount of time, I'm going to select the best three for each category (early, mid, and late); don't forget you can put forward more than one boss! However it cannot be two late-game bosses, etc.

Also, Arandomgamemaker, would you like to switch out "Curse" for another ability? It only restricts the player from changing equipment out of battle; Holy is also an element not present within the game. Now that I think of it, I should at least add what elements I use to the main post...
BOSS BATTLE: Basilisk
DIFFICULTY RATING: Medium
RECOMMENDED LEVEL RANGE: 18-25
WEAK TO: ICE, Magic Loss, Broken
STRONG TO: FIRE, No other status effect besides Slow can affect him.
ENVIRONMENT: A basilisk is a monster who's gaze can turn foes into stone. In my game, he is on a mountain. I would think a cave/tower setting would work.
STAT RECOMMENDATIONS:
HP: Medium - High
MP: Low enough that MP damaging spells can stop his magic
STR: Medium in state 1 / High in state 2
DEF: Medium in state 1 / high in state 2
INT: Low in state 1 / high in state 2
AGI: Medium
SKILL LIST (State 1): Attack, BiAttack, MidHeal
SKILL LIST (State 2): Attack, BiAttack, Petrify, StoneHit
SPECIFICS: Basilisk has two "forms". At first his eyes will be red and he is in state 1. He will, in fixed intervals, swap over to his enraged (white eyed) state 2 version. In state 2 most of his stats increase and he gains the ability to petrify you with the highly accurate petrify spell, or damaging (50% to petrify or so) StoneHit ability. State 2 lasts for only 4 turns and he goes back into state 1. The cycle continues until he is dead.

SPRITES:

BOSS BATTLE: Torchtree / Flame Soul
DIFFICULTY RATING: Hard
RECOMMENDED LEVEL RANGE: 30+ (35 or so)
WEAK TO: ICE, WIND, Broken, Weak
STRONG TO: ABSORB FIRE, OTHER ELEMENTS, No status effects other than the two listed can affect Torchtree. Flame Souls can be affected by anything BUT silence.
ENVIRONMENT: Torchtree is born when evil spirits of fire possess an inanimate object. In this case, the ghastly fiends inhabited a fallen tree to bring it to life. I would recommend Torchtree be encounted in a very deep cave or abandoned castle.
STAT RECOMMENDATIONS:
HP: High
MP: Infinite
STR: High
DEF: Medium
INT: High
AGI: Low

Flame Souls have low HP, low defense, low agility, low strength, but high INT and infinite MP. Cannot be silenced.

SKILL LIST (Torchtree): Frizzle, Buff*, Mind+* (Increase INT), Sizz, Kasizzle, Stopspell, Oomph, BiAttack, Wait**
SKILL LIST (Flame Souls): Wait, Flare (highest level single target Fire)

SPECIFICS: The Torchtree boss battle was the final region boss of my game and the hardest of them. Fire resistance gear is really helpful for the encounter.

Basically, for 5 turns, Torchtree is by himself. He can use any of the skills listed besides "Wait". If you Weaken him, he can use Buff and Mind+, otherwise, he'll never use those spells.

After 5 turns, Torchtree summons 4 Flame Soul helpers. As long as they are out, Torchtree may choose to "Wait". Flame Souls will always Wait one turn, then cast Flare the next. If they ALL die, Torchtree will summon them again. For this reason, the best strategy is to kill 3 of them and leave one of them alive. Due to his high HP, is is not a viable strategy to ignore the Flame Souls and just focus on Torchtree, as Flare is highly damaging (Defending/Fire Resistance/Barrier spells.etc can make it less so obviously).

SPRITES:

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

You had me up until "a graphic"
You can't give up THAT easily! Pick one from FF 2 or 3, or just use the spriters resource to find an NES-styled enemy that suits your idea! I'll be leaving this up for two weeks or more, so you have plenty of time to locate a passable sprite =P

Also, Orias (and everyone to follow), if you've used RM2K3 for any considerable amount of time you'd know that battles utilizing that maker don't necessarily use "turns" the way most systems do. When the engine recognizes a "turn," it's for an individual unit, and they're all considered as part of the same whole. Ex: The first two turns might belong to Character 1 and 3, while a monster might have the 4th, etc. So if you have a monster programmed to use a particular ability on a set turn, it won't execute the move if "turn 4" is taken by a party member. Because of this I might have to tweak your monster(s) a bit if they're picked and used.
unity
You're magical to me.

I'd totally make a graphic for whatever boss you design, LockeZ! :D
EDIT: Double-post for some reason...?
Mind you, it couldn't be TOO elaborate! I'm actually quite surprised that no one has gotten out of hand with their designs so far, to be honest!

I'd love to see more custom stuff from you guys! C'mon, give me a variety to choose from! You should totally submit an idea (or three) to, Unity!
Go wild! I'd love to see more stuff. At this rate, however, I just may have to add in all the ones I have if no more are submitted in the future. Hopefully that's not the case, but you folks just may strike lucky! Hahaha =B
I'm not winning points for originality here, but...

Name: VALDRAGON
Difficulty: High, like endgame High
Weak Vs: Slow, Silence
Strong Vs: ICE, EARTH, DARK
Stats
_HP - Very High
_MP - High, enough to be unaffected by MP targeting skills
_Att - Incredibly High, to the point where players need 2xDef bonuses to survive a single hit
_Def - High
_Int - Medium
_Agi - Low
Skills
_Attack - Basic attack, uses more often than his skills
_EVIL SWORD - Inflicts Death on one target
_NEBULA FLARE - High Fire damage to one target
_NEBULA BOREALIS - Medium Ice damage to party
_DIMENSION VACUUM - Inflicts MindLoss on party. Used at the start of battle, and never again.
_BLACK AURA - Inflicts HERO on self. Used when HP < 15%

History: Valdragon was the Emperor of a now long-forgotten civilization which pre-dates recorded history. After achieving martial and magical supremacy during his era, he sought a way to cheat death. In trying so, he transferred his consciousness into another dimension where he thought it wouldn't be adversely affected by the passage of time. He was wrong. Thousands of years of loneliness and yearning for mortal comforts twisted his mind, driving him into such a state of impatience and deprivation that, whenever he comes into contact with the tangible world, his spirit bursts forth in a destructive frenzy, wielding all the darkest, most powerful magic he knows.
Valdragon's armor is used as a focal point to connect his wandering soul with the real world. Because no method of dispelling him is known, sealing the pieces of armor away is the best option.
Environment: An "unexplored" place, like a deep cave or a lost ruins. When the heroes find a piece of his armor and disturb it, his soul awakens and tries to force it's way into their world.
By defeating him, that piece of armor can be considered uncursed and usable, like if it's a Shield, Helmet or Gauntlet.

(Savvy RPGers can probably see who I used as a reference image)
Awesome! The great Emperor of Palamecia makes his triumphant return... and with a makeover, to boot!
Okay, since I never obtained any more entries after Dyhalto, that means that YOU'RE ALL IN! So expect to see your bosses in the next and final update of Heroes of Tsufana.
Not a problem, my good sir! A little extra optional content is never a bad thing! At the very least I obtained a decent amount of bosses to add in there. I thank you all for your contributions, and hope you'll keep an eye out for the update featuring your creations in the future!
Alrighty! I've FINALLY gotten far enough (Lv.26 and just about to enter the Parum Fire Caves)wherein I can start to add the bosses that you folks have given me into the game. First up: The Basilisk, by Orias Oberhode! Construction on the dungeon housing said boss has begun, so it shouldn't take too long before I start designing the actual monster its self!

Can't wait to get all these bad boys in there! Up next is Torchtree, followed by the Wandering Wizard, and finally Valdragon!
