Very nice- keep up the good work! Mapping skills and superb
Heh, foolish old man..leaving his money completely unprotected~ ;D Great map, btw :)
Thanks a lot guys! :D There's a lot of things you can do with the RTP if you have the imagination!
I'd highly recommend using some shift mapping with the roofs of the houses. Case point, the one on the right looks as though the very top part (which I assume is a room on top of the rest of the house and supposed to have a separate roof) is joined together in one large, oddly-shaped, physics-defying roof.
It would also help get rid of the unsightly line in the top house's roof.
I also question the use of the world map tile by the old man (it's an oasis for the world map) and the use of stone stairs instead of the rock ones that would work better with the ground and water-cliff tiles (especially as there's not stone pathing next to them.)

Otherwise, I rather like the feel of the map. It feels quite tropical and warm, which is what I gather you were aiming for. Good job!
I know this is late, but I must've forgot to reply to your comment, Libby.

At the time, I didn't know or was even aware of the shift mapping technique. Now when I've finally figured it out, I've since gone back and fixed roofs.

I thought the stone stairs were pretty neat, but I decided to change them to the rock ones you mentioned. They fit a lot better with the map actually.

As for the oasis, that is something that good ol' kelarly has inspired me with. I know they're meant for the World Map, but I can also see them as very small ponds, used for decoration.

Thanks for your feedback and sorry for the late reply!
