Totally worth the Insomnia

Without a doubt one of the scariest RPG Horror games I have played so far! I have not been this scared since "The Witch's House"! The game has a strong Silent Hill feel to it and constantly keeps you on edge!

*SPOILERS BELOW!*
Pros:
Story: A very well developed story that continued to draw you in with every new turn. I first thought it was centered around a deadly disease in a post-apocalyptic world, but then surprised me with a city in war and threw in new surprises from there.
Atmosphere: This game hit the nail on the head with atmosphere! The changing environments had me on edge and had me paranoid something was going to come out and attack.
Puzzles: Puzzles were simple and logical. I never found myself getting lost or confused.
Minigames: The little minigames were both fun, creative, and always kept you on your toes. Plus, these minigames kept the game from becoming repetitive or losing its atmosphere.
Music: Creepy and original.
Translation: Translation was perfect. I didn't find any flaws in translation.

Cons:
A few mechanics: There were a few parts of the game I found a little iffy. It was a bit of a challenge to survive the man with the machete at the beginning because of how far his machete could reach. I would be two squares away and he could still hit me.
A few of the obstacles can make trial and error a bit nagging since they move so fast. This could be just bad timing on my part, but on the last saw-blade near the end, it seemed like you just had to get lucky to avoid it.
Act Three: I was kind of disappointed by the third act. All it consisted of was a minigame and a few cut-scenes. While the minigame was fun and the cutscenes were relevant to the story, I was hoping to explore a bit and perhaps get a few more scares.

Aside from those little flaws, I was a very enjoyable and scary game. I look forward to future projects the creator has in store.

My Rating:
4.5/5 Amazing
