I've not touched SMBX since this event. I've probably completely forgotten how to use it. (I really wish I could have participated in The Last King of Hyrule)

Aw, everyone's so inspired while I'm too bogged down with my current project to do anything. Maybe someday I'll be available to host another thing, I just can't afford to divide my attention right now.

Yeah, it's a continuation of the original program with a lot of new features added, such as the capacity for .lua programming which allows for a lot of fun level mechanics. Makes it TONS easier to create interesting stage gimmicks, and the new level editor is much easier to use. (In my opinion; I know there's a lot of folks who prefer the old one!)

Even if we don't end up doing another collab project, it's still a great continuation of the SMBX editor and I'd highly recommend it if you want to get back into making fun platformer levels.

I'd almost be willing to pass the torch and let someone else lead the way for RMN Bros., but I still have an idea or two I'd like to try out.

Yay! The band is getting back together! I also recommend using SMBX2. The newest features & npcs are just waaay too good to pass up. The only tricky thing is the Lua aspect. I never learned to code myself but quite a few members of the SMBX forums tend to make NPC Packs similar to how programmers make scripts & plugins for RPG Maker.

They're mostly plug 'n play but some require modding a lil' bit. Another collab project would be fun. SMBX could use a revival.
Where can I find this SMBX2 It sounds awesome, and I'm defiantly on board if there's another event sometime down the road.

I didn't really have the motivation to explore SMBX2 and that might be just the thing to kickstart my interest.

Yeah I'd like a new SMBX event too.
But not for the same reasons.

I've only participated in two events: a level contest where I did something really boring and with many level design mistakes (ranked 16th / 20) ; and Yoshi's Archipelago. My jungle level in that one was decent but the ice one was too short to be interesting.
This would be ideal to get better at SMBX.
