"The gameplay in Dragon Fantasy II is first-class; it gives you everything you would expect from a traditional roleplaying game but, more than that, it also pulls each element off brilliantly. Professionally, even."

A century has passed since the events of the first Dragon Fantasy. The self-proclaimed lord of demon-kind has been slain, and the world restored back to a state of order. Even the four Great Relics could not completely destroy the power of the Demon Lord however. His power, along with the mighty fortress of Venaitura, was contained within a sphere of light—forever locked away to spare the world further carnage.

But the skies have once again darkened, and a new evil has given rise: Dark Emperor Xyan. Using his terrifying power, Xyan has stolen the Sphere of Light, and with it opened a gateway to the Dark World. With hordes of Demons now under his control, his quest for world-domination has begun.

You are the Hero's descendant. Flowing through you is the blood of the legendary hero who felled the dark lord 100 years ago, and it gives you a power unlike any other. The King of Zebon calls forth you and your allies, and tasks you with defeating the Arch-Fiend Xyan.

Now it is time to embark on the adventure of a lifetime! The fate of the world rests on your shoulders.

Shall you conqueror Xyan?

An Update Appears! Command?

That's right, folks! I've taken on the task of giving this game a small makeover in the form of various touch-ups here and there to improve its quality. What KIND of edits are we talking here? Well...

Updates to various maps, and a COMPLETE REMAKE of the World Map to make it like an actual WORLD! Right now it's just a mess. But that's how I rolled back in the day; I don't think anything was pre-planned, and some aspects (like maps) definitely suffered for it.

Dialogue is being edited, snipped, cut down, and made WAY more comprehensible and bearable. I think I went a little TOO over the top originally.

The message that comes up whenever you search a pot's gotta be changed. It HAS to be. Right now it takes THREE message boxes to find out what you've got if there's an item to be found in a pot/drawer/whatever.

Equipment, enemies, and various other things are getting tweaked, too.

For the most part, DFII's fine just the way it is, but I want to make it even BETTER. It's good, but it could be GREAT! So yeah, that's just a little something to look forward to.

Sail your ship directly southeast of the Black Tower until you hit the fairly large island surrounded by mountains. Sail directly south of said island and you'll come upon another (smaller) island. Dock there and examine the portion of grass that stick out into the mossy section. You should be able to access the Path of Sages then.
I got the ship, but I can not find the hidden way to the Holy Temple. A guy says that the way is on an island and to "accept the earth beneath you". So I have been walking on mountain and ground tiles but haven't found anything yet.

There are 2 islands of interest. One is in the top right and has 2 stone pillars and the other is south of that. It has a castle and a set of stairs on the island. I can't find where the the entrance of the stairs are and the island is surrounded by impassible mountains.

If someone could print-screen or describe where I go next, that would be really helpful.
It'd take quite a while to pinpoint the exact locations of all 20 slimes, mainly because I haven't looked at this project in years! But in regards ot Bigsby's Tomb...

You can reach that location only AFTER defeating the final boss. You have to go back to the Dark World through the gate that's left behind where the town of Burray was (has a crescent lake around it and is just northwest of the Black Tower). Once in the Dark World, head west from the warp point and you should see a tower. That's where you want to go!
I actually want to ask about a few things I never did with this game before I get into CoT/DF Remade proper:

1)where are the 20 slime locations? I beat the final boss, but but I only have 18 out of 20.

2)Where on earth is bigsby's tomb? Even with the hint, I've had no luck in finding it.
Looking for Holy Temple.. Can't find the land with the flowers?? I just got the ship.
DAMN, and here'd I thought I'd found an excuse to go through the project and find the answer to that question for myself! Hahaha. I greatly improved upon these types of "quests" in Heroes of Tsufana, but with DFII I was merely dabbling and didn't quite properly set up everything to allow players to easily figure things out.

Is this from a new file, or did you just start playing again for whatever reason?

This has been bugging the hell out of me literally forever. Where do I get the bomb to blow up the pillar in the pyramid?

EDIT: Found it.
On the same map where you got that message, just outside the building is a box-shaped flower arrangement with a single square of grass in the middle. Walk over there and hit the confirmation key to find a handle sticking out of the grass.

Hmmm... That's in the very beginning of the game, yes? You've got to head through the Phoenix Tower, which is the first major dungeon of the game. I'm not home at the moment, and my memory regarding this game's specifics is fairly terrible, but I think you have to head to the west and through a cave? Or is it south...? I do know that there's a series of mini-dungeons before actually reaching the tower, but I can't remember what direction they're in hahaha.

I'll edit this once I get back to my place later today.

EDIT:
Yeah, you have to go directly south of the first town and into the cave. That will lead you through a series of short dungeons before spitting you out at the main one where you can get the torch.

I did that, but in the area proceeding the caves is a door that needs a key. there's a clue that says
"To the East.
In the Center.
Shaped a Box.",

but I don't know what to make of it.

I don't usually get stuck in games like these but,ummm... how on do you get the phoenix torch to pass through zanbui? I'm pretty sure its something obvious I've missed but I've looking for hour and half now and I'm desperate :p
That is one unlucky and terrible predicament you've gotten yourself in! Hahaha. I forget how far away the last save point is from that dungeon? What dungeon IS that, anyway? I forget. =B
Sorry for the delay, good sir! I completely overlooked your comment and only now happened upon it.

Once you've obtained the ship sail Southeast to a small patch of land with flowers on it; hit the confirmation key on one of these patches to unearth the entrance to the Holy Temple.
Hey I need some help, I just got the ship and I can't find the Holy Temple help please.
You're quite welcome. Hahaha. =P
Maybe this is a bit late (MAYBE), but the best team is a Hero, Knight, Mage, and a Priest. Or it is the classic/most used party, rather.
