Let me out of here!

When you begin the game, you will find yourself in the middle of a forest as a boy named Player, which made me confused as one of the main features advertised for this game was, "Choice of Boy or Girl (Always Important)," which the game already failed to deliver. At least let me have the option of choosing a better name than Player please!

After wandering around for a bit, you will meet an old man who rambles about how it's important to have a companion so it wouldn't be dangerous, then he will give you three monster companions to choose from. After picking your companion, there will be an easy monster fight, you are then told to go into the village in the north.

When you arrive at the village, you can explore; talk to various people, one of which is your mom inside your house. She'll tell you to talk to everyone in the village. Alright, no problem, when you talk to people, you will have several choices. You can talk to them normally, you can accept a quest from them, you can listen to rumors they heard which can start a quest, or you can pickpocket them. Getting caught pick pocketing will result in one of the following: Jail time (which results in you losing 3 levels), pay a fine, bribe a guard, or intimidate a guard.

Should you try to leave the village, you will be prompted to talk to everyone first, after talking to everyone, you still can't leave. Then after completing two very short quests, one in that requires you to remove a dead fish from a pond which is very hard to spot considering it's tiny and brown like the edges, the game still refuses to let you leave. There's one more quest you can do in the village, it requires talking to an old woman first, but when you talk to her, she'll just say a generic line; you can't do the quest. The remaining quests requires the player the leave the village, but you can't leave at all since, "you haven't met everyone yet."

There's really nothing else I can say about this "completed game" as you can't: choose your gender (Which I wouldn't have minded, but the fact that the developer mentioned gender choice as a feature; even emphasizing it's importance, annoyed me), rename your character, and leave a village with everyone spouting generic lines. This isn't a completed game, yet its status said otherwise; I don't think it can even be called a demo because it lasted around 5 to 10 minutes with nothing interesting happening to showcase the game besides choosing your companion.
