Alice's Deserta is a short puzzle game developed by Brendyn O'Donnal
~The Game~
Alice had lived all her life with her parents. She rarely left the house and was a very quiet little girl.
Despite her timidness, her parents loved Alice and Alice loved them back.
Today is Alice's 5th Birthday and everyone has been in a bustle for the past week. However something has gone slightly wrong.
Alice wakes up to find that no one is in the house except her.
Memories begin to show themselves as Alice slowly begins to remember what happened the day before, or perhaps a much longer time...
~The Point~
The point behind Alice's Deserta is to explore psychology and the way people act under large amounts of trauma. As you go along, the game will begin to hint towards Alice's illness. However, the game does not point out what the problem is exactly. Alice's Deserta is meant to allow players to look into the game for subtle clues and figure out the symbolism on their own, rather than hand it to them. The game relies on it's Symbolism so if you're looking for an artistic or dark game you'll probably like this. The game is short but not straight forward as to the story it's trying to tell. This gives the game a kind of mysterious feel.
This is a puzzle game so most Rpg elements have been removed but it's still worth the play.
