Orcena and Jasp, orphaned twins, were lucky enough to have been given a home among royalty, but are sent away at age six to protect them (and the crown heirs) from the effects of a disease they were infected with. This disease - know as Celdran's Curse - has the unfortunate effect of making once-docile animals violent towards the infected.
The twins try to change their destiny in a world gone mad...

MAIN CHARACTERS
Orcena - A young girl who is fighting to make her way back to her brother.
Jasp - A young boy sent into slavery.
Zephyr - The Zephyr Knight whose uses her strength to fight for justice.
Dusk - The Soul Mage who lives with a dark heart.
Grave - A thief with a kind heart and genteel disposition
Quarrel - A Scholar who was a puppet to his grandfather.
OTHER CHARACTERS
Lutar - A marked man running from his painful past.
Sheyin - Following her heart, a gentle woman who cares too much.
Pelmath - A Lord's daughter who hate the petty in-fighting of the Nobility.
Primrose - A prostitute who follows her lover despite any cost.
Caelar - The enigmatic leader of the Gryfalcon Wings.

Did I mention there's a lot of hidden sidequests? There are a lot of hidden sidequests. Seriously. Talk to NPCs all the time. They change a lot.

CloseHey, I think this game is pretty good. just that you have to go through that long intro in the begging. the music really goes well with the map, thats the best part.
Thanks. ^.^ I tried hard to get the music right for each area, so I'm glad it got a comment. I did add a skip feature for the intro, but I probably should have put a warning about it being very long.

Looks good, but the game crashed in the first battle. I got the error message "The file strike cannot be opened."
Fixed the problem. Seems you may have a different version of the RTP than I do, so I added the file tot he zip. Fixed zip should be up in a day or so. ^.^
Games looking very nice, I was enjoying myself up until the point of completion. Would like to see a finished piece. Cheers!

Hey I tried the game out, and I did enjoyed it, the first boss before getting the ring was hard to kill when I was at level 4 with only 5 biscuits left, I didn't know where to train to get a lil higher level though. Hope the game gets completed =D

Looking through people's game to observe their mapping (The Here and Now of Yesterday), I realise I played quite a few of those games, I really enjoyed Celdran's Curse, but it wasn't finished, right?

How's this project going? This was one of the few RM games that I actually enjoyed and want to finish.

I am a horrible, horrible person.
That said, it's one of the few that made it to my revised "I will one day finish this game" list, so that's a bonus. It helps a lot that I already have the main points of the story already written. I just need... to... make... orz

Too bad you didn't pick this for the Revive the Dead event!
If you ever do work on it and need some help, I'm down. Seriously, I think this was my first subscription. Oh look at that, it actually shows dates for when I subscribed to stuff. 2010, second thing I subscribed to. I'm subscribed to 11 things since then. That doesn't seem like very much :o

From what I read here I want to try this. But they mentioned how short it is and that there needs to more for you create. Looking forward to the next bit, longer and more content!

I was going to pick it up for Revive the Dead but decided that if I was going to pick this up again, I didn't want to make it a rush to some deadline job. Take my time and do it right, instead. That said, I'm going to try to get at least the first chapter out this year (to be fair, most of the game so far is most of the first chapter already) and make a start on the second chapter.
IIRC there's 5 chapters all up.
