There is no hero, no monsters, and no epics. I wanna just to tell a story about these people, who lived and experienced tiny happiness and troubles in their life. What does Renascentia mean? Well, maybe you know it means Renaissance, but it's not what I want to talk about. I mean, why I give the title to this word? Only the person who used to experience, desires to get a rebirth. Sometimes we regret and fear to face the truth, sucking ourselves in the inner world; sometimes we have a gap between us and our family members. We escape from homes, searching for so-called freedom. The world is not beautiful, but because of that she is charming and deserves our love.

That's all.
Oh, permit my poor English. :P

PS: I've not found a suitable genre for my game. Although i selected RPG as its type, i find it's more like a movie or a drama with RPG elements.

Long time no see, and happy new year!
Here's recent steps of my project.

Visuality

1. Removal of square grass
I've edited my tilsets to make them more natural. You can see these two images to find the difference.



2. Map tool bar
Map tool bar is prepared now. You can see status of characters from the bar, and quick accesses to item scene and quest scene are available as you see.


GamePlay

1.Battle Engine

Thanks given to Yanfly and Yemi! I'm using Melody Battle(Angle view). It's a really fantastic battle engine, having more features than SBS despite of its a little harder usage. My job is concentrated on sprites' drawing and skill making. Here's a screenshot.

* I've not translated it into English, hope for forgiveness. These words mean skills of Hugh.

2. Relationship

Relationship is important in Renascentia. Since it changes not only dialogues, but also your battle. Only if the relationship is good, characters like Tina and Dr Simon will follow Hugh's leadership. If their relationship is awful to some extent, they'll leave you. Here's the list of relationship.

Awful relationship: They'll leave you.
Cold relationship: They'll fight with you but you cannot control them. And you can see their emotions've changed.
Normal relationship: They'll fight with you but you cannot control them.
Good relationship: They'll follow your leadship.

Maybe. Transfering simplised chinese to traditional one is not too difficult, but i'm worried about some tiny problems. Since there's difference in usage of words. I mean, the difference just like that between American English and British English. A native traditional chinese speaker will be helpful if i decide to release a traditional version.
I know traditional chinese. There really isn't much difference other than the writing.

Only problem that i see is the facesets. If I were you I would change it to better. I use myself also the facecreation engine /: but i think it would make this game much more unique.
That was the only error that i ve found. After all this seems to be incredible.

You've got a point here. Yes, originality as well as uniqueness can bring a game soul and recognition. To be honest I've considered for a long time to draw facesets on my own. But finally i found that it's unsuitable. Unlike paintings require facesets a more regular and formal style. This style should fit the whole atmosphere of my game. This atmosphere shows in maps, character sprites, the story and facesets. Only when these elements work harmoniously together can this game be good. But my drawing skill is not good enough to fit the style of my game. So i keep using facecreation engine.

id save the most interesting things to me here is the relation ship system and the text style in the inventory as well as the equipment

ill be following this one to be sure
still as my only current regret games need more female leads :(
