Expanding upon the game

So yeah, I've been thinking about how to expand on the game, as I really want to round up the experience, and extend it for maybe an hour.

I'd like to know how the game feels, and how people feel about it. Play experience? What's fun? What's annoying? What would you like me to add?

Thanks for the comments people!
Gamer Seb.

I think your graduation event is broken. I've leveled Eric and Natalie past level 8 and trained all of their skills (Eric towards being a mage, Natalie towards being a warrior), and Eric still can't seem to graduate (leading to a gameover).

I'm going to try fooling around with the event on my own and see if I find a solution. I suspect it's a problem with your conditional branches.

EDIT: Yep. You need to update the conditional branches for Eric's portion of the graduation event. The failure option is within one of the branches for the warrior upgrade when it should be outside of it.
Another bug. If you choose to evacuate people to the castle at the end, after entering the castle, nothing happens. I opened up that portion of the game in the editor and it looks like you're missing an autorun event. Perhaps you accidentally deleted it?
Thanks for the help Lensky :)

I'll check on both bugs and make a new build!
Oh my, such amateurish bugs... but it's done! I'm uploading the new version. Version 3.0!
As one final note (and this one's a final nitpicky one that probably doesn't warrant a re-release of its own), when controlling Mrs. Cat, you may wish to disable the menu. Otherwise, if the player saves in the chapel, when they reload it messes up the autorun event that the old man is set to and glitches the game.

Great job on this, BtW! It's a very fun little game. Are you going to expand it any further in the future?
I'm not sure yet, but if I get the chance and time, I might!

I just wanted to make something on the likes of other Raising Sims (such as Princess Maker series or Cute Knight), with child-raising mechanics but also eccentric humor and some dating-sim feel. I'm submitting it for an assignment as a way to "introducing a western audience to raising simulators".

Hope it goes well!
One more bug.. (i'm not sure if its a bug.. or I shud wait lol)
When you say that you wont take part in the festival..
The text disappears or something..
I mean.. you can see the background picture and go to the menu.. but that's about it
Hmm... can you keep playing the game? Or nothing ever happens again? I'll check on it!

EDIT: I've found it and corrected it! Thank you, pjoriginal!
New version uploaded with updates to the music in some scenes, and correcting some festival conditions!
You're welcome :)
Thank you for the game :)
was great fun playing it
This is something I that I thought would be cool to implement, but, as I'm new to this engine, Idk how difficult it would be to. If it's even possible? Anywhere, here's my idea: Making a 'sequel' to this game where you're out on your own as a freelance adventurer, where your major decisions and classes and such directly effect the sequel. Maybe the story would revolve around creating your own guild, or something (like maybe you can choose a guild to join, and slowly take it over or just create it from scratch).

Like I said, Idk the possibility of this is, but it would be pretty cool to see your decisions effecting the second game.

Anyway, great job on the game. It's a great concept that I would love to see expanded upon further. :)
Looks good so far, i'll check it out, it seems interesting
Hahaha, creating your own guild would be cool. For instance, creating a "Warrior Guild" that recruits Monks, Archers and Swordblades, and you can get help from NPCs that are mages to balance it out.

I think it would be very cool to show what would happen in the region 10 years after the adventures of the first game. Maybe show up some familiar characters in humorous ways. And maybe managing a Guild instead of a person! Hmm... I'll think about it, for sure :D
Were you people able to find the Earth Ruby to save Error?
Yes I saved her with the Earth Ruby.
I am in year 3...June/Summer and the game freezes. Any way past this or do I need to go back a couple levels (booooo) and also I am always kicked out of the game no matter how many skills I accumulate.
Hmm could you give me any other details about this, Roy? Where does it freeze? Before the second class change? Are you rejected or the event never happens?

Thanx!
Sorry...at the second class change and after I have failed to make it. I am rejected (once again regardless how many skills I accomplish)and then it freezes at a screen informing me Year 3 June/Summer.

I just found it by total accident. Yay me!

Have you raised your stats (Strength, Agility, Creativity, etc) until an acceptable level for the change? Hmm... the game should enable you to do the class-change.

Maybe if you send me a screenshot of the stat window I could tell what's wrong!

I'm so glad that you found it. I'm thinking of making it more obvious, as it unlocks a great deal of random fun events with Error!

About reviews and stuff... does the game have to be very famous or good to be reviewed? :O
