The game is made by my school club's team. Its main purpose is to experience how a real game development goes. It's pretty ambitious, should I say. Making original resources as much as we can, we want this game to focus on its gameplay, particularly combat.

Story
It has been 10 years since an unknown rebel seized the throne of the king of Volkrante. No one knows his past, either, as his face is veiled by a mask. The fallen king's last words, to search the azure star, has driven Alex, his youngest son, to claim back the throne. Alex had traveled around the world, but his search brought naught. He decided to go back to his country after years of fruitless search.
Lyka, a young miner and aspiring blacksmith, must go back home after being kicked out by the townsfolk as he bears a greed core, followed by his childhood friend Ashen and a lost girl Chloe. His greed core bears an azure color. Yes, he is an azure star, whom Alex has been searching for.
Such fate, Alex at last met the azure star out of his whim. The lost prince asked Lyka and his companions to help him regain the throne. The lad obliges to help, only to offer his power as an azure star, since he holds no interest to be a hero or a savior. He just wants Chloe and himself home.
However, is reclaiming the throne the best choice? What will people think? How is their life in the clutches of this ruthless new king? Will this ensure the happiness of Kingdom of Volkrante?

Progress Report XXV: Nope, not dead. Really.

It's been 4 months or so, huh, since the game's last update... No, the game's still running, though... TOO SLOW, I'll admit! There're Dark Souls II, then PSO2 still running, then more games, then going to Japan for playing some arcade games there, then etc, etc, etc. But my main reason is... Still Nusakana. Boy. The crews are currently struggling with their school, too.

It's only a very small update. I'm only visiting here to grab some images for promoting Cruna in another forum. I'll have to get Nusakana ready ASAP...

Can you please upload it then, because then if I get new bugs I report them, I dont want to report fixed bugs, and I plan on making video about it so yeah :) One thing, the music boss1.mp3 is not looped and sounds not that good, you know :P I looped it with .ogg format, send me PM if you want it (if you havent made it yet).
Now that there's a testimony that said the song isn't looped isn't nice, I'll make sure the composer know ;) and please be patient for the new demo. We're still working on it.

Lol xD I believe he already made loop but if he didnt I sent you the loop through PM. By the way, don't press "Listen", it loops on RPG Maker, not on any music player.
The thing is, the composer, back then, was a schoolmate of mine. It wasn't sent via PM or somekind...
I tried this game because it was made by the str➈ngest.

its nice so far ^^~ makes me want to go play megaman, but that's another story.

altough as people already reported, I can't seem to go back to town without being able to access the forest again, I tried it a few times, the only annoying thing is having to repeat the intro, so I tried to rush and got killed by the boss, I left it there for now, kero ~ i'll play it again when the next demo version is out.

aside that its fine, I didn't understood the strenght/spirit/stamina tutorial though.

Those ten desire-istic sound effects feel like home, and the battle theme is very....tomboyish, Maybe I should stop saying things nobody will get, anyways...i'll be looking forward to this one~

This looks too good and im not being sarcastic :( i say this because the likely hood it will be finished unless he has a reasonable amount of stable help is a little on the low side

You can assume that the sound effects and the battle theme are temporary (*cough*theSFXsarerippedstraightfromsubterraneananimism*cough*). The game already had it's own original battle theme, though ;)
And the tutorials have been refined too. ... Talk about the demo's progress... Oh man, gotta rush for drawing the bosses' spritesets! But with the crews are in mid exam and me being horded with university stuff... No, this game will have the next demo at November.

I don't mind waiting for the next demo, I was fine the current one I only stopped because I didn't wanted to repeat the intro again, yes, I forgot to save...more than once~

Lyka gets bullied by someone who has less attack than him, seems nice, but changing that, are we going to be able to see turn order in any future version~? I know its part of strategy to read your enemy, but some enemies, like the boss if I remember ((I think)) attacked faster at times, so its hard to say if to attack or guard first, not really important, just wondering, also assuming there will be some speed-increasing items in the game or something.
The next demo features story skipping (you'll be able to fast forward almost any event in the game!).

And the turn order... I've thought of that many times, but I'd say I have to drop that... I can't give too much power on that. Plus, it can be pretty hard to implement one presentation-wise. I want the player to read the enemy, and vice versa. I want to give both of them the same level of information available! The enemy, in programming case, commands first. They can only guess based on the situation. I want the players to be like that too. But giving the turn order early break that purpose. I can make enemies' turn shown after the done command is selected, but that's pretty tasking.

And about speed altering, not only speed-increasing stuffs, but speed-decreasing stuff as well. The next demo probably won't feature that yet (learning curve here). But I can't let it not in the full game since speed is the key to know the gap of turns between enemies and allies. I'm sure that in some cases, being slower is better.

by the way, I forgot to mention when I posted 2 days ago, but if I get out of full-screen everything in the background seems to go white/blank, even if I change windows everything in the background stays blank, not sure if its just me.

it's a minor thing but im mentioning it since I saw nobody else did~

... How did you de-fullscreen the game, may I ask? The game uses a script to have a different fullscreening method, rather than using the default fullscreen (Screen stretching bugs me). Have I written about the fullscreen in the readme in the last demo? Fullscreening and un-fullscreening in this game uses F5, rather than the usual alt+enter.

About windowing / fullscreening, I've made it to be toggleable via option. So don't sweat about which button will do for it.

that white blank screen ive only had that happen on 1 other game for rpg maker sirus inferno(which sadly is on hiatus...)i could not minimize it and go to windows i had to close the game down

btw f5 is normally refresh for windows just as a note
it basically stops all processes for a moment so something can finish E.G if you ever mode a window over the desk top and it was like you were painting and that image covered what ever you moved it over
f5 could fix that

would someone mind uploading this game folder in a rar or zip file?
every time i download from this link it says it has the suspicious cloud 7 virus and i really dont want to risk it after looking it up
it may be the setup file that triggers it so i just want the folder

1.ok some odd english at the start with some sentences not making sense
mostly these are in the intro b4 you 1st get control of your character

the back stairs in the rich persons house to the right of the sick old ladys house you cant go to the room it leads to

the male character died in the forest the fairy owned him
so i had to go back to town and heal as i had no revive items
when i went to go back to teh forest their was no way of doing so i was stuck in town!

the battle system is unique as ive seen no other rpgs that work like this yet

id suggest putting a NPC somewhere in the 1st town probably the inn would be best
that gives some tips like that :D

well i cant really say much about this the bug that you cant go back into the forest was not fixed
some grammar issues need fixing i could not beat the 1st boss i give up lol

thats odd cuz the version i had which i got from this thread they weren't fixed :O
the story also had stopped in the ver i had after the fight with the creepy rabbit guy
