Back with another nutshell. We're having a break from discussing the core combat, so today we'll talk about the encounter system!

Looks like our good ol' non-random encounter, which you have to touch the enemies to fight them. On surface, true, it is. But Cruna Aktrid has more than that.


Tonight, we have rabbit stew!

The enemies you'll encounter are exactly the ones who touch you. Hit one? You fight one. Hit two? You'll fight both. 8 of them surround you? You'll fight them all, but that's a good bye call.

Each enemies have their own behavior around you. Docile ones are fairly ignorant, like Rannies. But pranksters (Bad Fairy) and teritorial beasts (Boars) will prefer to pounce you in sight... You can sneak past them (or run away) to avoid trouble. Some enemies even doesn't move at all. Plants, for example.


Dinner, or be the dinner?

How about flanking and getting ambushed? Yep, those can happen. At best, how those happen is simple. Touch them from the back to flank them. But when they touch your back, you'll get ambushed instead. This is about them losing their first turn to act or yours to lose, so pay attention to their movements!

Oops, forgot to mention! As you mess with one enemy, the others around will flock you, except plants. This rule does apply to mid-bosses around... Watch your hide, especially when you don't want the mid-boss(es) messing you.
