AAA Proofreader searching!

Well, the question is simple my friends.

Irili has done a wonderful job checking and adapting half of the game, but now other tasks demand her attention so she can't continue with this task.

I really deeply thank you Irili for your time and effort.

Now I need someone else, native english/american, to help me finish the translation.

24 text files to be done of the 58 initial files. Some long, some short.

The task is the same.

I provide you files regarding single dialogue or arguments (like shop, inn, tutorial, etc)

In the file the sentences are like:

Uzu: Finalmente un posticino tranquillo
Uzu: Finally a quiet place

Uzu: dove fare 4 chiacchiere in libertà.
Uzu: where we can have a chat.

Uzu: Con chi vorresti parlare, Nono?
Uzu: Nono, with whom you want to talk?

With a row in italian
and a row in english translated by my translators.

All you need to do is:
proofreading the sentences, eventually adapting wordjokes or other things (I'll leave note for you on the file or you can ask me directly) and if a sentence is correct, you'll do nothing.
If otherwise a sentence has errors you must write a third row with the corrected sentence.

for example:

Uzu: dove fare 4 chiacchiere in libertà.
Uzu: where we can has a chat.
Uzu: where we can have a chat.

Also, the lenght of the sentence, due to picture fitting problems, must be circa the same as in italian, but we have some margin.

That's all.

I'll thank you in advance for your attention.
I must clarify that this work has no retribution but your name in the credits, sorry.

I don't pretend daily delivery, but let's try to not finish in the 2020 ^^

I can offer you help with this if you want. If anything, I would like this game to be released as soon as possible!

I don't understand Italian though, and if I'm offered this position and if possible, I would also like to be able to play test the game with the English text so that the whole text flows smoothly.
Well, I'm not American, but I know a lot of the English language.
If you want, I can do some of the proofreading.

That said, I wish you success with the project, Testament.

Well, first off, I wouldn't refer to those who speak American English, or United States English, as Native Americans, because that term is usually used to refer to the indigenous peoples of the United States instead. Even still, you'd need to capitalize American, and capitalize English, to be correct. You would also say, "I can do some of the proofreading".
@eplipswich: Thank you, you have a MP

@ChrisMastery: Thank you too Chris, but for this phase of the translation process I absolutely need people that speak english as first language, sorry. Thanks anyway for your availability.

Thanks for the hints :)
Hello,

I have a few questions about volunteering for this project...

Is it required that I have any knowledge of the Italian language to help proofread? Secondly, how long do you anticipate proofreading will take?
1) no, you don't need to know italian. Italian sentences are there only for lenght reference (circa)

2) well, I have no idea. In the beginning I thought that proofreading would be much more faster than this, but I was wrong. It's all up to proofreaders.
I really hope to have all the files checked in some months, but I can't make any prevision.

Translation started at the beginning of 2015 and I'm still at 50%
Thanks for the feedback. I'll pm you.
