This looks good:) I have a question, do you get to find things in towns like in Lufia FOD? In Lufia VI, I mix popular Lufia Systems and that happens to be one of them. If you look in a barrel for instance, you may find a potion or a scroll teaching you a new skill or something.
Yep! sure do. You'll find mind potions and stuff
The only thing about using that is you have to do a lot of work depending on how much you have. It takes a lot of switches and proper placing to do this right. I also am trying to do the caterpillar system, but I may do the single person system instead. Lufia V: For the savior had a caterpillar system, but for the sake of coding, I'll just stay with the basics for now.

I plan on making you find status seeds such as HP, MP, strength and other stuff as well. That way, exploring towns will be a little more fun than they are.
Yeah! My castled towns will be huge. you'd have a lot of exploring to do then. Go to pubs and hear rumors. I'd follow up on them if I were you...
Nice Plan:) Large Maps are one of the things I'm dying to create. By the way, what kind of difficulty do you think this game will have?
Level grindin will be important later on in the game. I remember when I 1st played Lufia FOD and I had the hardest time fightin the demons and then the goblins were very hard too. That made me wanna level up all the time lol

I felt the exact same way. Lufia FOD was really hard, especially if you don't grind. Some of the boss battles seemed near impossible at first. Remember the part where the hero had to fight that tower guy by himself or when you had to fight those goblins that stole the ship? Those are some of the parts that threw me off. I plan on having hard boss battles as well.

Lufia II could also be hard at times. For example, the spider boss (with Maxim,Guy,and Tia) was hard if you didn't get the fire sword. It took me several tries to beat him (or using save states).
LOL The Goblins was exactly what I was talking about. I hated fighting the apprentice too lol. I will have boss battles that will make you want to level up
Exactly what I wanted to hear:) Now that were talking about this, I may want to play Lufia FOD again. The only lufia game I have trouble staying into is the Ruins of lore, but it does have a lot of nostalgia and fun into it as well. Not only did the bosses make you mad in FOD, but some of the normal enemies got on my nerves too. Also, the encounter rate was waaayyy to high! I was jumping for joy when I found out there was an item to decrease the encounter rate.
Yeah! That was it. I stocked up on those the moment I found out what they did. Also, do you know how to make the field movement slow like Lufia FOD? I want to do that so you won't fly through the field like in Lufia II(which isn't bad). I also need to know how to make a warp Item. Maybe somebody here knows. I also would like to make weapons expensive so that you'll fight more. Out of all my experiences of playing RPGs I learned this

Level Grinding= more money and more experience
more money and experience= higher levels and better equipment
higher levels and better equipment= better chance of survival
you mean that you don't wanna move fast in the world map like you can in the town map?
Exactly. I don't mind moving at the same pace, but moving slower in the field has been a traditional thing in RPGs since they came into existence. Think of stuff like Dragon Quest and Lufia FOD.
well when you exit a town and use the telepot event thats when you can use the move event and then just select decrease hero speed. Move event is in the 2nd columnm of the event commands
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Surely there's a better way to do the trees at the bottom, the ones being covered up by the text box? I had to look at the screenshot several times to see them at all because the text box is covering them up, but they look pretty ridiculous, all lined up neatly in two rows with big perfectly even gaps.

Also, the M in maybe should be capitalized, and "there's" should be "there are".
I'm aware of that. I made those imporvements a long time ago

Oh, really? I thought you just put the screenshot up as "looking for feedback" within the last couple days. Hard to give you any advice without knowing what you've done to it already.

Can you update it to the newest one?
Lined up trees in the middle of a major city isn't unusual at all. An example.
Otherwise, I love the style.

Also, 'swept off'. Add an extra F.
Thanks, (Sigh) this should have updated a while ago....
