I am always watching.

Except when I'm not or don't have time. Which is fairly often. :c
There really should be a way of having a notice that this thing has been updated rather than having to make me feel inclined to type out some pointless message (due to my unorthodox recording times) I recorded two in two days :3
I've just put out episode 12, I've made it my god-damn mission to finish this and CMS 2
Thus, the immortal rivalry is reborn!
A wild resurgence episode appeared...
The rivalry is back...
Will it every actually bloody finish?
Only time will tell.

Btw, Hali; if you're reading this, I've started work on the Super RMN World level (sorry for dodging it so long) and will be done with it soon-ish
I might even have another go at making that CMS2 hub..... big maybe though

Haha, this response is almost a full year later. THE RACE IS STILL ON!
Oh It Will finish if I have my way Friend...
Episode 14, made a few mistakes in this one with having my mic too close to my mouth (made me sound a bit robotic) said erm an awful fucking lot and talked nonsense 50% of the time, but hopefully I should get better at this kinda stuff.
Also said I'd save between every level, did I hell as like

Hey, I forgot to mention in my comment on your last video that the 'design an SMBX stage with your favorite song' idea sounded neat. SMBX's flexibility with music is one of my favorite aspects of it; it'd be interesting to see how something like that turned out.

But maybe finish Castles 2 first???

I have a priority order: Green Thumb, CMS2 and then this possible project, but my computer friggin' hates the SMBX editor so it can be hard to read feedback and use the editor at the same time (or, you know, use the editor entirely), but I'll power through
Oh yeah the song event did sound fun! Funny story I did have a similar idea to use actual songs as green star challenges in a project I tried Over on SMBX Forums... Then I remembered I had no experience running a project and Learned 90% of the community were Elitist Jerkwads with shit moderation and decided that as a whole they were not worth learning leadership skills for so I ragequit the whole forum but never aired my dirty laundry so I wouldn't be banned so I could advertise SMBX Games over there in the future,Even Though I'll probably never make something all my own in SMBX...

Where was I? Of yeah, I'd probably make a Level either based on A Wierd Al song, The Linkara Theme song, Or an Alestorm Song, I Love all of these options equally, And I could probably make a fun gimmick around any one of them. Hali would definitely be the guy to talk to in order to set up suck an event since He's in charge of them.(Hence the fancy Purple Text)

Wait how did suck get in there? That's it Midterm projects must be driving me insane!
So, I've REALLY got some shit done over the past few days, It's been a long time since I've really been pulling my weight on here, but I've re-invigorated my Let's Play, recording even more often that when I first started (which was pretty often at the time), I've set up a second collaborative Youtube Channel (which I will start recording for for the first time tonight, which will probably be after recording a bit more for RMN World here), I've built an (admittedly simple) hub for the development hell that is CMS2 and basically given anyone who still gives one about the project til' monday to say otherwise (in of which I will release CMS2 with the hub into the world... for realsies.) and I've touched up on the RMN World 2 level Green Thumb

The main reason I'm posting is down to my interest in hosting an SMBX event, as I've stated, I don't know if it's possible or not (I don't know the rules on events in RMN, I just know Hali is the guy to talk to) consisting of levels made with the creators favourite song as the level's theme, it was just a unique idea I'd like to see done, as I've stated as well, my largest concern was that it would possibly end up being another CMS2, development hell with no hub, my solution was simple 1) No fancy story (if you can call it that) like CMS2 that had to be well implemented into the hub and 2) Have the hub at the very least, partially built before the event

So... I started on that, as the only people I've digressed with are the people who have watched this Let's Play, I just thought this would be a reasonable place to post this (also, more RMN World, today... probably) I should probably state now that I am NOT great at pixel art and the music notes seen in the background could very well be placeholders, but I just wanted to run them by you to see what the response was

tl;dr: How about this design for a hub for an event about music levels?

Looks like a good theme for the hub! I think you would want to find some better music note graphics, and maybe use background objects so they can float instead of sitting around.

As for running the event, there are hardly any rules for doing so. Far as I know, anyone can host an event, but they need to run it past the staff so they know what's up (PS I have almost no authority here).

I would advise you to wait a few months or so. Summer is a good time to host these things, and you don't want people to be tied up with SRW2 like they are currently.

As I said, I made the music note graphics, I'd have used better but I Couldn't find better, they are actually backgrounds but I thought they looked better on the floor, guess not

I'll be honest, I know very little about who does what, the only other staff members I can list off the top of my head is Kentona and Liberty, that's it

As I said, I'm going to try and have most of the hub designed before I try to host said event just to make sure I don't end up in a CMS2 style situation but I'm definitely going to wait until after Super RMN World 2's submission period ends at the end of March, however - I probably won't wait until Summer, seeing as there will probably be another major RMN event going on in the summer (there almost always is) and, unless I'm highly mistaken, there aren't too many people who only sign in during summer

This of course all balances on if I can find a member of staff who'll let me host such an event, but it's worth a shot

On the floor or in the air is your stlystic choice. I just think music notes look better floating since sound isn't held down by gravity.

Liberty is the best person you could ask about hosting the event. These don't end up on the front page by themselves! But before you shoot down the idea of running it in summer, keep in mind how people's schedules usually go. Anyone still in high school/college is likely to have more free time during the summer, and less important things to do (like FINALS). You'll never find that magic time period where everyone is free to contribute, but it helps to be conscious of these things.
