In with the new out with the old!

AJE is no longer cancelled as it is going to be rebooted under a new company with full funding! Sad Fate it was.. T.T

For those who don't know but the composer has released the OST that was made do far for free use with credits etc, I gave back the ost I paid for, to him again so he could use them to make money or get noticed how ever desired... Sorry everyone, a new game is planned, that will take on both games in someway and outside rpgmaker forever... It has a lot planned out, and will not LEAVE planning, till I am sure of all possible roadblocks, issues, or wants/needs are avoided or handled.

For my 3rd attempt at making a game, I want this to be finished, and not cancelled or walls/road blocks that derail the entire project... Most likely my next game attempt will be a free to download game, regardless of how amazing it might turn out! (I have reasons for going free to play, not for cheapness..even if I can barely afford food right now...)

I'm sure many are disappointed I failed another project, but crap happens, and I refuse to give up on being a game dev... Just gonna make sure this next project is done RIGHT from the start.. I made many many bad moves at the start of AJE, for LOL I made a huge mistake not realizing my abs evented structure wouldn't cause issues later on since most of that went off my visuals and it meant going in and modifying the entire engine to even see my codes...

I will keep you all posted! Don't expect it often, as planning has been over a year now, and still far from what I need to get started! I do however now stream on Beam under another alias, but also I cosplay and game, bout all I can do right now till later... I will post my future project here in time when ready, but it wont be rpgmaker, and I may not update the page if made, as it can be stressful to site tag and update sooo many sites alone.. But I will find a way to inform everyone... Take Care, much love...

Dear A Journey's End Fans

To those fans who still hold a place in their hearts for this game, I'm revamping the system from Lands of Lunori and major elements of this game into a new game called, "Era of Mana". I will not post this game info here sadly, but I do live stream on Mixer (18+) and since have longed to come back to game development. It was heart breaking when I was forced to cancel Lands of Lunori and even more crushed when I couldn't fund A Journey's End as well as program limitations slapping me in the face.

As I came to Smile Game Builder during a promotional setup, I longed to get back into my games, rekindle my passion, and move forward once more in my game work.

Since Smile Game Builder has a lot of things RPG Maker has I decided to go back to Lands of Lunori's system roots and try my hand at a 15 year old project now dead, and bring some life into it once more. AJE was like a mini revamp to Lands of Lunori, or more of a step in a new direction, but taking on core features and similar designs. As I wanted to find new ways to get past the loss of Lands of Lunori, and at the time did not want to rebuild the system. Both games hold many features and systems that are a lot alike, and I wish to continue these into this new project.

For those who really want to keep up on any games I make or see them live streamed, you may join me on Youtube / Mixer as I tackle creativity, gaming, and my passion... Game Development!

This looks pretty sweet. I love action rpgs, and after looking at your images have a few questions. How many different weapons can you use, and what sets them apart? How many skills can you train/buy? What role does the fairy play? Combat oriented or not? Either way good luck to you on your game.

There are so far bow, boomerang, and sword. May add more later on, but was unsure which ones. For the sword it has 3 combo moves and a charge attack, for the boomerang it can hit across water etc and can drag items to you, the bow has a fast release of arrows and a charge attack.

There are let me see there are 25 Cleric spells you can train and another 30 spells that are not of the cleric variety, but I wanted to add in somehow, and is up in the air.

The Fairy will not be used in combat, but I have been thinking of adding additional characters, not 100% sure yet on this. The fairy is more story based.

Yea very early stages, like first boss done, barely any story scripted out, and 1 town.

Good to see you're back on action RPG. They are my favorite! I was sad that Lands of Lunori coding fed you up but happy to see you on a very promising new project.

I like your game atmosphere, especially the cat-like characters. It made me smile as I'll team up with some in the near future at a larp event. You really put a lot of nice features together in your game: melee/range combat, spell casting, crafting, dungeon puzzle... and you made them work quite well.

Here are some contributions to your game: some bugs I found and some improvement proposals.

I equipped the Magi Band that increases magic evasion by 10% and got the following error message when a Silron from Ferorn Plains cast a poison spell on me:
Script '•XAS' line 3488: NameError occured.
uninitialized constant XAS_WORD::EVADED

I charged up a bow attack and got this error message when releasing the attack:
Unable to find file:
Audio/SE/Explosion1

Both above errors terminate the game.


The help menu doesn't explain the functionality of key W.

Cancellation of teleport spell from destination menu costs Sp as if the spell got cast.

Buying the Medecine III crafting book gives access to all medicine recipes. So books I and II are useless. Medecine III should give access to powerful potions but should not include the ones from previous books.
Crafting menu would then use categories "Medecine", "Materials", ... and not refer to a specific book. For example when owning Medecine book I and III, the Medecine craft menu contains: Tonic, Kalikai Stone, Acrina, Aythali Tonic and Salarin Stone.

Selection of magic target shows side scrolling text. Static text would enhance fast readability.

There are tons of tutorials and videos online that explain how to make cheap, safe and decent looking equipment. If you want to discuss it, PM me so this page keeps its focus on your game.

It is still TBA, but a demo is around the corner, but I wont say dates anymore as stuff keeps getting in the way of development, like I am still waiting on scripts to get this demo pushed out, I will be starting testing phase once I get the scripts and everyone who signed up will be messaged... :/

Ya it says you can use it freely in non commercial or commercial, I did a lot of research just to make sure. Plus it is being modified greatly for the new features like buffs and Mana Essence infusions. ^.^
From what I've seen of the screenshots so far, I like where this game is headed. One thing that stands out is the way the game looks pixelated but it's done in a way that's nice to look at. It reminds me of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night or Heroes of Might and Magic II, both of which have a very nice retro feel, but not so retro that the games look primitive.

That's one thing I look for in a game; what it does with pixel art and how well it's presented, and maybe 1 of 10 games I've seen online really uses this, and yours is one of them, even if you're not aware of it.
