The Beneath is a fantasy adventure RPG that takes place in a world with two parts: Skyfall and The Beneath. Skyfall is a smaller floating land above The Beneath where people have lived in harmony for centuries. The people of The Beneath have never known why or how what they call the "Sky Rock" got above their home. They do not know that there are people living there, and that one day, one would save their lives.
The ancient demonic being known as Envardek who once tried to take the great land of Skyfall was imprisoned by its guardian, the dragon Elza, many years ago. But an unknown source on the surface is helping Envardek get his powers back, posing a threat to Skyfall if he decides to try to capture it again.
With his minions taking over The Beneath as well as Skyfall, the people of Skyfall must learn to fight and give up their roots of peace and pacifism. The gods have placed one last piece of hope in the world, in the form of a young hero from Skyfall and his companions. They must journey to The Beneath, and find all the keys in the ancient underground labyrinth known as the Underways to unlock Envardek's prison. If they can kill the demon before he is released, they can save Skyfall and it can return to its ancient ways prosperity.
