I should play this, thanks for this contribution :)
You're welcome. :)

And any feedback on the game will be greatly appreciated.
I'm quite impressed by the features and fluidity of the battle system. I've played other games on XP and VX that feature similar action-oriented battle systems, yet this is the first one that seems to do (almost) everything right.

Fully customizable controls is a great idea and a must in A-RPGs, yet the control configuration had me a little confused. I'm accustomed to having the Attack button double as the Confirm button, and Jump doubling as Cancel, not the other way around. But this is only a minor issue.

Jumping seems problematic right when I start to Dash. There seems to be short delay for pressing the Jump key and it sometimes make me fail Dash Jumps. It is especially noticeable when standing on that first tree stump and trying to dash jump to the other side for the first time.

You can do an "air jump" in this game, which means you can dash then jump while in mid-air.

Glad you liked it :D The game definitely had a lot of interesting features to talk about. Keep up the good work!
I think I saw this on a Top 7 RPG Maker games video yesterday... I should check this out.
So, I just downloaded this game and got through the forest stages and I have to say that this is really impressive so far. I was skeptical going in since Touhou fangames can be very hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit and the combat and mechanics so far are fantastic both in concept and implementation.
Thank you Seeric, I'm glad you liked it. =)
I just downloaded this last night myself. I made the very suicidal decision of going in on Lunatic Mode, but I have to say that I agree. This game is pretty awesome in both it's mechanics and it's implementation. But there are some minor hiccups. Well, rather, it feels like the controls for movement are a bit wooden at times. Not in it's response time, but rather in how the characters themselves move. But considering the engine, it's a very good effort. I suppose playing on Lunatic Mode also gives me little room for mistakes haha.

Just to note, I'm on Stage 4 with Reimu at Lv 8 and Marisa and Sakuya at Lv 4. You don't want to know how many times I failed Stage 1 with Reimu in order to get to the point where she was DOUBLE the other's levels.(read: A LOT). But nevertheless I'm enjoying what I'm playing.

One thing that I was surprised wasn't included though was a Grazing mechanic. I keep thinking I can graze and go dashing straight into enemy fire. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not playing IaMP/SWR. But I think it should have been included. Hell, Grazing bullets could have just drained SP just like in IaMP/SWR. But I digress. I understand that there may have been limitations in your work that may not have been easily overcome. Having made my own touhou fangame at one point, I can understand the position.

All in all, this is a very well made game, and I will most definitely be continuing...on Lunatic Mode. This is going to take a while, hah.
Lunatic Mode on your first try? You must be crazy... :D
I haven't beat it at 100% on Lunatic myself (yet).
Hard Mode already provides a good enough challenge I think. But hey, do what you want, who am I to tell you how to play the game? ;)

One thing that I was surprised wasn't included though was a Grazing mechanic. I keep thinking I can graze and go dashing straight into enemy fire.
Well, you take half damage when dashing so it's still better to rush into bullets than doing nothing. ^^
A grazing mechanic could have been interesting indeed. To be honest, I didn't even think about it. But It's too late now. That would totally break the balance of the game. :p

Anyway, good luck!
And if you manage to at least see the credits on Lunatic, tell me about it, I really want to know if someone besides me can do that.
Haha, shame about the grazing, but in any case, I'll play more tonight and see if I can't get out of the Forest of Magic.
Er, I think I've got a bug. On what I assume is the last stage of the Forest of Magic(Alice's stage) I failed a couple times, but now when I go to redo the stage, I can't get past the second or third barrier area. I beat all of the enemies, but the barrier won't let up.

There's also a bullet firing spirit active in the zone ahead of me that I can't see if that means anything. I think I'm stuck for good because it keeps happening now. And I saved myself into this state. :|
That sucks. :/
I'll update a new version for the game later.

Here's a quick fix (replace Data/Scripts.rvdata and Data/Map019.rvdata) :

That should fix your save.

Thanks for the report anyway.

I'm pretty confident that you won't encounter another game breaking bug so don't worry too much. :)

Game updated to v1.01
I'm stuck at 94.9% with 199 souls.
Only 1 soul left and I don't understand what you're supposed to do at Netherworld's secret stage.
199 souls, nice!

I don't understand what you're supposed to do at Netherworld's secret stage.
You already found the secret door behind the enemy vortex I suppose. There you need to destroy orbs in the right order. There are hints scattered in the stage.

You also need all the weapons and accessories to get a 100% completion.
