Key Features:

- More than 30 hours of nonstop action.
- Original gameplay that mixes genres (A-RPG, beat 'em up, platformer, danmaku), fully programmed in the Ruby language.
- A dynamic and fluid battle system with lots of available actions.
- 12 playable characters, each with unique attacks.
- Evolving weapons and accessories.
- 3 difficulty modes so that any type of gamer can enjoy the game.
- Fully customizable controls and joystick compatibility.

if you have any chance to launch a version with 2 players?
Nope, I won't update this game anymore, I'm done with it.

Besides, the game is already close to the maximum graphics capabilities of the RMVX engine, a 2 player mode would cause huge framerate loss.
It's true that it would have been awesome though. ^^

Got it, but still this game is one of the best I've ever played.

I wish I could make a game ^ ^
Thank you!
What an incredible non-rpg game! So much that I nominated you for many misao categories.

In my mind, anyone completing a game here deserves praise. Doing so in a uncommon genre, having such fast solid rich gameplay, having all the extra content at the end ... and offering all in two languages!

It's rare but so appreciated when a game has a French version. Being from Quebec, Canada, it's vital for us to have BIG FUN in our language. I hope it'll get more exposure to maker games in the Francophonie (77 countries speaking French for 220 million French speakers).

Merci,

I sincerely hope that our adorableness spreads to the world. It's sorely needed in Real Life.

With The Logomancer, I mentionned your work of art in the 2013 "OFFICIAL" MISAO PREDICTIONS AND DISCUSSION THREAD.
ThatBennyGuy said : Thanks Karkwa! Those games definitely went under the radar. Added them to the list. I will probably need to at least play Touhou - Wandering Souls as well. It piques my interest that a platformer like that could be made in VX.

I wish you well and many more players for your game!
Certainly the best game I ever played!

Its engine is very stable, there are no bugs but you can cheat the game (you can increase the height of your jumps with the help of some skills).

The graphics, although ripped off, are in the perfect place and in the perfect time (except for the Yin Yang thingy, what the heck is that?).

The gameplay?
The settings are very awkward until you edit them (you might as well consider changing the default keyboard settings), but how you can jump, jump-dash, dash-jump, mid-jump, double-jump/triple-jump (see above) and make epic combos is very awesome and is what made this game awesome. However, I personally disliked how you activate the spellcards: If I press, say, the right key and instantly press space (B in the Joystick) it sometimes triggers the fire spellcard, so I hold both buttons instead. It's really annoying, seriously.

The environment and the music are also essential parts of this game's awesomeness: The backgrounds, visual effects, the danmaku, the music... It all makes sense and it all fits perfectly: the Forest of Magic's magic is present, the Misty Lake's mists are there too, the Scarlet Devil Mansion's devils are also there, etc.

Now, let's leave super-formal mode and focus on the storyboard:

In your free free time, you should considering adding a bit more storyboard when you get the 180 souls to unlock the Heaven (I honestly didn't understand where the heaven comes in the storyboard, other than "souls are there, so we should go there get them" fact) and more stuff when you get 200 souls*, just a simple item feels... weird...

* - The item you buy should be available on all save files.

That's it.

No, seriously, stop reading this, it's over.

Knock it off! >:(

Thanks MenDude.

You don't have to consider skills that make you jump higher as cheat, it's intended (though not mandatory to get anything in the game).

I won't add any story in the end game, I'm done with this project.
Just consider that the story ends at the Nowhere Dimension, everything that comes after is a bonus. ^^

I don't like this idea, there will be no challenge left for those who tackle the lunatic difficulty.
Congratulations on being featured, though i only asked when it will be featured here on RMN and suddenly it was featured today lol.
Anyway you deserve to get such recognition on this game.
Thank you agfonzer and kentona, I certainly didn't expect this new year gift. =)

Oops, I realised that Hard has the Normal item too, and Lunatic has Hard's and Normal's. Kind of messed up here. (And sorry for the double post, this site was very laggy.)

Btw, congratz on getting this featured!

@Mendude: The "Yin Yang thingie' is likely Reimu's family.y treasure, the Yin_yang orb. Some of her magic is based on it and it also helps keep her svelte :P
Haven't had a chance to try this yet, but it's definitely the most fluid real-time combat I've seen in an RM game. I'll probably try it out the next chance I get.
Congrats for the game being featured, Estheone! :D It really took pretty long for the game to be featured, huh?
Game looks awesome. Now go switch out the graphics and put it on Steam and make money.
Thanks everyone!

Now go switch out the graphics and put it on Steam and make money.
Considering the amount of great sprites and musics I used in this game, it would take me something like 2 years of work (assuming I have the skills for that, which I don't).
I can probably make an entirely new commercial and custom game in 2 years. Actually that's what I'm doing. ;)
@ShortStar:
Going to steam and make money...? Like, changing the Touhou theme and all? All of them? It sounds fine, but retaining the Touhou theme will be a chore on its own. I don't think Steam will accept fan games, so the best way to commercialize this game is via Comiket. Don't forget Touhou's own fan game commercialization guidelines there.
Gratz Estheone pour avoir été featuré!
Ton jeu le mérite pleinement :)
I just registered to ask a question:

The summary says that there are 12 playable characters, yet my party still consists of Reimu, Marisa and Sakuya.

I just recently beat Youkai Mountain and got every soul up to that point, except for the second hidden soul in Youkai Mountain's last stage. (How do I get it anyway?)

When do the others join?

BTW: This game is fantastic. I have a lot of fun playing it. It's like Touhou meets Elsword meets Super Mario 64.
