FROM NOW ON THE UPDATES OF THIS GAME WILL BE ON GAMEJOLT! Please go over there and check out the latest game updates because I have started to work on the game again and I made it longer and better!!!

Laura is a 14-year-old who likes to do anything that a normal young teen would do. But...her life is changed for the worse. One night, Laura awakens to darkness and candles. With the help of a lamp she finds nearby, she continues through her own home to find the remains of what it used to be like. The house is empty and cold. It is as if no one has lived there for years. When Laura leaves her home and ventures outside, the world is white and snow covers the land. The only thing to do is go forward into the nearby forest, and that is where the real fear begins to sink in. "Lamia Nox" is Latin for "Witch Night". The forest holds secrets that are not meant to be found out.

Characters of the game:

Laura: Female
Age: 14

Laura is the main character of the game and is played by the player. She has recently lost her parents and is now alone to fight through the darkness.

Ghost: Female
Age: Unknown

The Ghost of the game leads Laura into the woods to find out what is going on. Laura later finds the truth about the Ghost and finds that there is much more to what is going on.

Um... it says that it cannot open system 2, so I can't play the game.
I have never gotten that error from anyone so I have no idea what the problem is.

My best guess is that you're using some of the built-in resources (the RTP), and mmarage doesn't have any of them. If this is true, either direct people to a place to get the RTP, or ensure that the "Include RTP" flag is enabled for the next release of the game.
I must say I love Lamia Nox. The atmoshpere of the game is really fitting to the story. I actullay felt I was Laura all along. However I'm kinda disappointed with only a few things:

The demon was summon by the mother. Quit predictable but you still didn't explain everything like who were the other girls or why the mother did all of this or where did the demon come from. All of this makes the story of the game feel blank. Also the fact we left with that ending was such a drag. If you're making a horror game such as this you need a good, bad, best and secret ending. Good ending is a medicore ending where you didn't fully complete the game but you manage to lead Laura to the ending safe and sound. Bad ending sould be either catch by the demon, or other horror things in the house or the forest or the victims of the demom. The best ending is the ending where Mary and all the other girls are set free and Mary's mom is dad and Laura is free to go home or whatever this is. The secret ending should only be unlock if you gather something important or you set free all the victims of the demon including Mary. It sould be a teaser for a sequeal or something close to it.
Altough I must say I love this game and I hope that my suggetion may improve this game to your liking Mr.Rex
Thank you all for your welcomed suggestions. I will consider them greatly. I have added more story to the game so that te ending doesn't really feel as blank. And I have made some of the areas bigger as well so that the play feels as if try are in a bigger forest. I'm glad that you have felt that you were the character. I want that in all of my games. Thank you for playing and for the great feedback.
I thought I put in the RTP... I guess I will put it in my next update.
I almost forget to ask if you don't mind, but how did you come up of the consept to Lamia Nox? I mean, when did it all start? Where did you took you're insperation for the game and etc, etc,

Well... In school I have made a few video games but they all have been... well... Terrible. I never thought of making a horror game until I saw the Witch's House. Then I though... "I can do that!" So I got to work. Shortly after I noticed Mad Father. Mad Father was scary at times but had more story to it. The Witch's House had more scares. So I wanted to mash them together. First came the name of the game. I wanted to call it "Green" or "The Forest" originally. Later I changed it to Lamia Nox. I wanted to use Latin with scary words like darkness or fire. I first was going to use the two words Darkness and Green. Later I changed it again to Darkness and Light. Then Witch, Darkness and light. Then I just kept it with Witch and Darkness or Night. And out came the name Lamia Nox. After that I began to work without the help of my team. They always just left the meetings to play Halo on the school computers. So through around five months of working alone out came the game. The story was made up as I went. I wanted to make the player start in a house and then go into a forest where there nightmares would come to reality.

I was right! You did Play The Witch's house and Mad Father~
You should also play Misao and Ib. The more horror games you play the more exprience you will get into making :D

I have played those as well. lol But I played Misao while I was making the game and IB a long time ago.
I played the game v2 through and made notes of things that could be changed. I compiled them into this list:

The Bigger Bugs:

- The game crashes if you try to re-enter the shack that has the boat. Doesn't matter whether you have picked up the boat or not.
- The monster in the dark cave cannot actually harm Laura; Laura can pick up the pickaxe, get the lamp and go through the hole without dealing with the monster or having the dialogue. No game over.
- After the demon dies, the player has to go up again to talk with the ghost. However, if the player is walking behind the nearby skeleton when the event triggers, the character walks against the skeleton and gets stuck there. The control doesn't return afterwards which forces the player to restart the game.
- Player cannot return to the entrance of the cave after the dialogue with Mary. If the player tries to return, they trigger the event for the same dialogue again. The game freezes in the middle of that dialogue which forces the player to restart the game.

The Smaller Bugs:

- After first leaving the house, if the players goes back inside and tries to go to Laura's room, the game encounters an error and crashes. (Not much reason to go back inside though...)
- The game doesn't require both puzzle pieces to be inserted into the door; If you have both pieces, the game takes the 2nd piece, leaves the first piece in your inventory and opens the door.

The Bigger Inconveniences:

- While it is common sense not to pick up an item you see no use for, gameplay-wise it would be easier if we could pick up the pickaxe without examining the boulders first.
- Save point after the snow and lake should be after the dialogue with Laura and Mary. Watching the same scene and dialogue at the house again is really frustrating. Especially since new players are prone to die to the monster in the forest.

The Smaller Inconveniences:

- Introduction doesn't mention SHIFT being used for running. Player has to figure it out themselves.
- The book in the library falls "twice".
- The character is not required to pick up the lamp before leaving the room. It causes a funny situation later on with the door that requires you to put in a lamp you don't have.

Typos:

- The beginning monologue, Laura: "peice of paper"
- Dialogue between Laura and Mary after the snow and lake: "You mean... The lake and the snow was only the beginning?!". I think "was" should be "were".
- Inside the dark cave, Laura: "He's comming through this hole!". I think there's one "m" too many.

Sorry for the long post. This is all I could find. Some of these things have already been mentioned in previous posts but I decided to include them anyway.

Strange? I thought I did. The bug with the library was solved too so I thought it was the newest version.

I'll download it and play through it again. Do you mind if I compile a similar to that one?

I always look for new games...I saw your game and it was epic but cant move foward...

I double check and Im sure I downloaded the most recent version

The control doesn't return afterwards which forces the player to restart the game.

havent check the other bugs mentioned but its all in v2...
Hmmm thank you for the great feedback. I will fix the problems right away. I'm happy that you guys are helping me.
I knew about the home thing... Anyway why is it that you can't get any further? Most people have beaten the game.
