Good News for the Future

Things are going slowly. The college started again, so, I can't dedicate myself to the game as I was before BUT it is going. I have all the story and things ready, I just have to make them happen in the game. It's just a matter of time to the game to be fully completed.

The good news for the future is that all the story that I have in mind is too much for a single game. Really. So, in a near future, you guys can wait for The Orchid's Dream sequence, that I named "The Orchid's Nightmare".

It is just a concept by now, I can't tell you much about it but a sequence is needed if I want to make this story my greatest piece. What I can tell you by now is that The Orchid's Nightmare's story will begin two years after the final events of the first game and some known faces will be back to action.

Stay tuned.

I will be waiting here ;).
By the way, when you talked about "The Orchid's Nigtmare", did you mean sequel?
It's nice to see that such promising game will get a sequel as well. I'm very happy to read that.
@urano: Yes, it will be the direct sequel of The Orchid's Dream.

@Noel: I'm glad you liked. You know, I realized that I can expand the world and the story of The Orchid's Dream a lot, and I don't want to put it all in one game it'll be too much and I'll lose the focus. Things will go better if I split the story in two parts (I also liked the Dream and Nightmare names working together, it makes a lot of sense considering the two stories).
It's good to know a plan for a sequel, but I'll be more than happy to know that the first game is satisfying.

Well, you know, thinking sequels before the first game completes is a destructive habit :( So much of my fellow developer friends had their projects never ending because too much ideas including sequels.

Just saying. I don't want this game to stop just because you think about the sequel first...
I agree with wltr3565. Don't get too caught up in the sequel and neglect this one! It has happened time after time and developers just end up dropping both projects altogether.
Relax guys, that is not gonna happen. I just want to split The Orchid's Dream's story into two, to make the things flow better, to not "suffocate" everything into just one game. The sequel is just a concept, the main story of The Orchid's Dream is 100% ready.
Oh, I have a question. How long is the Orchid's Dream gonna be approximately?
Well, that's a hard to answer question. I believe (I'm not sure, it can be more) that if you go straight following the story you can complete the game in 7 ~ 8 hours. If you want to explore everything that I added, such as quests, secret places and bosses, you can add 3 or 4 more hours. There will be a special and big real challenge boss. You'll have to do spend some extra time to battle to gain some levels if you want to defeat him, so, it will depends on how the player wants to play the game.
