At the beginning of the world there was peace among living things. With the birth of the humanoid races came greed and hatred. Over aeons these negative emotions began to manifest creating a great evil force known as Dark Gaea. This evil force controlled the minds of the weak driving them into a war that threatened to sunder the world. A benevolent and magical race known as The Ancients created four weapons of immense power to combat Dark Gaea. After a long battle Dark Gaea's essence was sealed deep inside the the earth sealed away for what they thought would be all eternity.

1,000 years later this story is reserved for legend and a kingdom thrives in the north as one of the four great realms of middle earth. What was once sealed now threatens to devour the world once more and the spirits of the four ancient weapons call to the souls of new warriors who will control the fate of the world.

In this classic role play game we join two unlikely heroes who are about to be drawn into a quest beyond their wildest dreams. They will meet and old friend and make several new allies as they travel across two continents and sail the vast ocean in their quest to save the world. From the vast forests, to the sweltering deserts, and up frozen peaks they travel to uncover their destiny.
