Synopsis
"The peaceful world of Vanguard has quickly turned for the worst after wide spread attacks to outskirt towns in four of the major nations have occured. All of the empires insist that these events are caused by third party rebels and cults; However, the true origin of these issues are still unknown.
Skepticalism and paranoia has lead to a secret arms race, an arms race that is slowly destroying the trust amongst the nations."
The game begins with you experiencing the guerrilla attacks through the eyes of one of the main characters in the game, Avion Cevelles.
Avion, an ex-militant for the nation of Arigos is later summoned by the king of Arigos and is given a special task. Against his will, Avion is assigned to accompany the adventurous vice president of the science department, Morris Atkins, on a journey that could potentially put Arigos in lead in the arms race.
Avion, Morris, and Geese (a friend of Avion from his active military days) embark on an adventure of discovery.
The world of Vanguard:
The world of Vanguard is filled with a crap load of backstory and discovery. This in essence makes the world much more emersive.
Here are some notable features:
Despora:
Creatures that can be found on virtually all explorable maps. They are not like monsters you fight, like in most rpg games. They have the abilities to be harmful, helpful, beneficial, usable, and so on. Each creature carries one or more trait that fall under the aforementioned labels. Avoid, Capture, Kill, and gather information on them to your liking.
There are NPC and other methods that can help you with dealing with these Despora. This feature can really be fun and is applied to both the main plot and side quests.
Cults:
Cults can be found in some parts of the world. Some are in the main plot and some are not. There is also a cult system that allow party members to learn abilities or gain items by enlisting in the teachings of certain cults. The more rare a cult is, the stronger the abilities/items are.
Mythical Beasts:
Known also as "Signus"... They have shaped the entire world of Vanguard. They provide details to the backstory and they play a huge role in the main plot as well. You'll be able to learn about them and gain tangible skills from them as well.
Features:
TO BE ANNOUNCED
I guess that's all I will put here for now.
