Dragons have existed in their homeland of Askbaal for centuries. It wasn't until the Dragon-lord Askook brought his hordes to Ruce that we began to feel concerned, to be concerned. For all of our might, our brave heroes and heroines, knights and soldiers, could not defeat him. Askook burned our villages; he melted our castles; he even killed our kings. For two-hundred years, Ruce was his new homeland, and he guarded it fiercely. Every attempt that we made to reclaim it, was foiled. Eventually, we gave up and settled elsewhere. But if the rumors are true, if Askook truly sleeps and dreams for the next sixty years, then perhaps now the time is right. His horde-lings are gone. His followers scattered. The Dragon, himself, is slumbering beneath the mountains. It is time to reclaim Ruce!
Overview:
Embark on an adventure to reclaim Ruce from the Dragon-lord, Askook. With the help of friends and allies, you'll set out toward Ruce, traveling from town to town and staying at all the finest inns. But once you reached Ruce, you best be ready, for the mightiest of heroes and heroines have fallen before Askook...
Features:
Characters:
Kennioth has, for as long as anyone can remember, been skilled with a blade. Growing up, he spent most of his time being mentored by his uncle and older brother, Norruth. Kennioth is fair, quick, smart and strong. At the game's start, he is sent by Norruth on an important mission to Linemell, where he's to seek out a guide by the name Favnir.
Favnir was born in New Ruce, considering the old one is nothing but a ash-riddled wasteland. Not much is known about him, other than say, he spends a great deal of his time in the wilderness. Favnir would make an excellent scout, which is exactly what Norruth has in mind when he sends Kennioth to seek him out.
Dammath is one of the oldest living Dragon Priests left in the world. Little is known about the great warrior, except that he resides in Dragonhall, a great temple in the northern highlands that are covered in snow.
Syrilth is the third oldest living Dragon Priestess left in the world. She made quite a name for herself when she, and she alone, slew four dragons upon the Fields of Stadely. Syrilths' current whereabouts are unknown, but perhaps Dammath will know more.
Gameplay:
Dragon's Dream doesn't inspire to be the next break-through game in terms of gameplay. In fact, the gameplay is exactly what you would expect from an average high-fantasy RPG. You begin in a town, hop across the world making friends and slaying monsters, then end up in a huge castle fighting a even huger dragon. However, there's also learning skills from skill-books, challenging combat that makes use of strengths and weaknesses, and plenty of rewards for those of you who want to take a look around.
