Gotta save this place

NOTE: There might be spoilers, but I'll try not to put any.
NOTE2: English is not my first (nor my second) language, so sorry for any mistakes I've made.

Chivi-chivik played: Sorrow Moor

Sorrow Moor it's a very short RPG in which you must save the titular place.
This, as a game, disappointed me, but not as a practice/first game.
Anyway, let's start.

Gameplay
This is your typical RPG: you go through the paths and roads of Sorrow Moor, defeating enemies and getting few items along the way. You can also buy items to heal you.
Battles are the standard ones from VX Ace (turn-based battle), and with them, you gain money, EXP and you can level up. Nothing new.

I must admit that, even if battles weren't that hard (Heh, even bosses were easy as hell), enemies that could poison you added a bigger difficulty to the game. They're only found in one part though.

A problem with gameplay is that you're given everything by the way. You're told that you must get X? don't worry! You'll get X after defeating very easy boss. That's pretty disappointing.

Graphics
Author says that they wanted this to look like a storybook. This was completely achieved via the battle sprites and facesets, but the maps didn't feel like a storybook at all. However they're simple and well-made.

Music
Music is from VX Ace's RTP, so I don't think I should judge this. However, there are some melodies that didn't fit the game at all.

Technical stuff and the like
It seems there's nothing added to the engine: everything uses the scripts and programming already found.

I didn't find any bugs, and this is great since this is the author's first game.

Story
It starts as simple as it can be: You're a boy named Pierce and you must save Sorrow Moor with the help of a wolf. And the only thing you know about the boy is that he wants to go home.
However, this game hasn't got story aside from that. Once you save the place, you're praised for that, and then, credits roll. Yeah, that's it. So it didn't feel great.

Overall
As a practice/first attempt, this is very well made, but as a game...
Author says that they would like to come back to do this better: I encourage them to do that. A lot of story can be given to a new and unknown place, and I would like to know about it.
