Bringing her back... or at least trying

NOTE: There might be spoilers, but I'll try not to put any.
NOTE2: English is not my first (nor my second) language, so sorry for any mistakes I've probably made.

-------------------------------------
Chivi-chivik played: Orpheus

Orpheus is a very short visual novel starring Dan in a quest to go to get his wife back. According to him, she's dead, but he doesn't care and goes to get her back anyway.
This is other of those short games that you can play in less than 10 minutes before reading this review, just saying (I replayed this game for this review myself).

Gameplay
Gameplay is simple: you go doing few tasks and exploring to continue with the story, while the MC tells you stuff about his wife. Those tasks are really easy, so they don't interrupt the flow of the story, but I feel that those tasks were put there just because...

Graphics
Graphics are custom and minimalistic. Also, they look good.

Music
Music is also minimaistic, and fits the graphics perfectly. Nothing is out of order, and I like when this happens in a game.

Technical stuff and the like
MC's text was TOO SLOW. It really bugged me: he's the one talking all the time, so it should go faster (I think this is to show how the MC talks or is, but it's still too slow).

I didn't find any bugs.

Story
According to the author, this game's based of the myth of Orpheus (hence the title). It was really obvious since the beginning because of the constant dialog and stuff.

Well, we all know how Orpheus' myth ends (He goes to get Eurydice back from the underworld, and before they get out, he looks back at her -when he shouldn't- and Eurydice vanishes) but this game takes a different twist, which I didn't expect.

Spoilery comment:

Who was gonna know who was the real dead one here?

And the very end gets a sad turn as well (we know how the original myth ends, but this ending is also quite sad).

Overall
This game's good to spend some time. It has an interesting twist, but it isn't that great.

Nit-pick with the review title: "Bring her back! Or, at least, try."

I should apologize? ^^;

If an apology is issued, it would probably be something like, "Like I said at the top of the review, English isn't exactly my first language! However, thanks for the tip/suggestion!"
