Four friends from the same university go out camping together. But while gathering firewood, strange sounds can be heard from the forest.
After that, things get gradually worse.
This is the classic camping-trip-gone-wrong movie from the eighties made into a RPG Maker game.

It features a minimalistic soundtrack, with mainly the ambiance of the forest and all the creatures in it accompanying you in the increasingly dark forest.

I recommend turning off all lights, pulling down the blinds and putting on headphones for maximum enjoyment.
Playtime is roughly 20 minutes.
Story is based upon the Skinwalker creature and the stories surrounding it.

This looks interesting.
I think, your map need more detail.

Anyway, this game look nice. :D
Nah, the maps are nice. Not over-burdened with too many things but not too bare. Quite lovely and also interesting the way you're got the black surrounds. Nice~
This is really interesting, I can't wait to try it out whenever you finish it~ :)

Looks good! Not nearly enough true horror games so should be a fun project to work on. Art and lighting is nice too; good atmosphere, and that's only the pics~

By adding something that usually present in a forest. Like woods laying on a ground, rocks, etc.

Btw, I like the lighting. :D

The rocks are hidden under the grass. I added it, promise.
So what systems you having implemented. Any combat? Whats going to make this game unique and how you going to pull it off in 30 mins?
@obsorber
No combat. The game is probably going to have more in common with visual novels than RPGs. It's 90% story. Except instead of getting a pretty girl in the end you get your face torn off. Since it's going to be so focused on story, pulling it off in 30 minutes (might be less, actually) is not going to be a problem. The story isn't that long.
As for what's unique... The way the game looks, and how I tell the story. The game leaves much to the imagination.
There is also very little music (none, actually).
I probably spent more time on sound than the normal game, too.

Interesting premise
Really dig the setting and look so far. This looks like the sort of game where branching storylines would be interesting. Say the characters have to run, and there's an option to trip a comrade to buy the main character more time. Just an evil thought.

The thought have actually crossed my mind, being that the game almost plays like a visual novel at times.
For now I will complete the main story that I had in mind from the start, and if interest is high enough it is very much possible that I will add branching paths.
I love long gory bad ends.
OK, just played through it. It needs to be fleshed out more. There's a bit of a pacing issue here. You have a really great start, full of ambiance, but then it goes too quickly to surreal horror. Build it up more. Give it a sense of little changes happening, of things mounting more and more until it all comes to a head. Maybe give the story a framing device? It would help to set up the, "This is a true story" angle. Show these chatacters preparing for their trip, give us a better look at them, a better sense of who they are. The more attached the viewer is to the chracters the better the horror will be. Work on better descriptions. Saying a character is PTSD-like or looks pyschotic really doesn't get the job done. Also, less is often more. Try not to describe or show the "horror" too much. What people imagine is often more frightening. Give glimpses if aynthing. The shadows are a great example of that.

Make it branch out with player interaction. I was a bit let down that I had no real reason to run, and that outside of collecting water and wood there was no real point to player interaction. I understand you made this as more of a story, but if you can add things to draw the viewer in, you will only increase their immersion. For example I really wanted to protect and comfort the friends in the story. Maybe items and actions could be added to do this?
You forget, it was more of a "visual novel" if anything else unlike horror games such as Midnight, Project Viral, Eclipse which have the game-play elements much embedded. I think SnowOwl kind of got that point across already. Anyway, being a horror fan and loving to play rpg maker games of the sort I tried out the game.

SnowOwl, Kudos to your work. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It wasn't as scary as I was hoping but had some twisted parts the were quite disturbing at the most. I really enjoyed the plot for the game and the fact that it was presented in a first person style. This made the experience even more satisfying allowing the player/reader to be drawn in to what was happening. Great job, some of the effects could have been pulled off better but I think poorer creeper effects kind of make up for being less effective than the bigger ones used such as the Skin-walker peering through the windows from outside. This added tension and despair, it truly did but this effect itself which I felt was the most unique was repeated too much in a sense. Also a lot of the novel isn't as visual as I would have hoped and more text. The game started off a little bit slow but that added to the psychological effect of it all. As you get into it, the mystery acts as an enigma itself. I think one of the most satisfying parts of the horror is the part when the skin-walker says it wants to be you, this kind of leaves you in a bit of shock and confusion. The way you presented the game truly shows you did some slight research into the myth or legend of the "Skinwalker". However there were many concepts you failed to acknowledge which could have been expanded on. This would have probably increased the length or game-time of your short story too. I would rate this 7/10, a great short visual piece of work to engage in your free time.

The improvement I think you could add could be variations in the plot. For example like choices that could affect the outcome of the plot. You should consider making alternative endings and alternative cut scenes which depend on choices and how you interacted with the characters etc.
I just played this "game" (if you really wanna call it that), and it is pretty good with an excellent atmosphere, and there were quite a few creepy moments and some down-right bone-chilling scenes. I agree with most things obsorber said about alternate plot lines but one thing that would have made the experience perfect would have been better character development.
