YRPG Builder (Yume RPG Builder)

What is the YRPG Builder?
The YRPG Builder, also known as Yume RPG Builder, is a comprehensive software for RPG development. Designed for both experienced game developers and newcomers, the YRPG Builder offers a variety of tools to make creating your own RPG as simple and accessible as possible.

What does the YRPG Builder offer?
Yume Interactive Designer (YID): The YID is the core of the YRPG Builder. It is a database tool that allows you to design fundamental objects and processes of your game, including heroes, enemies, items, equipment, player and enemy classes, and spells. Additionally, the YID supports the internationalization of your project by providing support for various languages.




VRoid Model Support: The YRPG Builder fully supports VRoid models, meaning no separate animation or modeling within the Yume Designer is required.

Quest Management: An easy-to-use quest management system enables the creation of main quests, side quests, and follow-up quests to guide the flow of gameplay.

Event Editor: With the Event Editor, you can program events using pre-made commands. With a total of 116 commands, the editor allows for the creation of dynamic events, including conditions, loops, and recursion.





Yume Environment Editor (YED): The YED allows for the modeling of custom worlds, including assembling 3D worlds using Delivered Content Packages (DCPs) containing particle effects or 3D models.






Custom Component Development:

In YED, you have the ability to write and utilize your own Yume Components in C#. These components can interact with YID and certain event commands, allowing for dynamic runtime modifications.



Combat Systems: The YRPG Builder offers two classic combat systems: turn-based and active time-based. Both systems support weaknesses, resistances, and strengths that can be defined for player and enemy classes.


Flexible Deployment: Yume can be deployed either as an online service (SAAS) or locally on your computer.

Standard Models and Music: Yume comes with a set of standard models in the form of DCPs and music to help you start your development journey right away.

DOL (Definition of Language)

With DOL you have access to the Yume database. No matter which language you choose - changes will happen easily if you use one of the predefined languages from the list.
But it will be also possible to add new languages. I don't want to create a piece of software with hardcoded language.

In the end YRPG will be for the world and not only one country.

So what is the state of art?
With DOL the developer will get the opportunity to change 60 different Texts which are a fundamental part of the gamplay.

So a DOL Object affects this Features:

Main Menu
Main Gameplay
Game Menu
Enter Hero Name
Shops
Battle System

Three DOL Objects are already included:
English (Default) - not erasable
Hungarian
German


YRPG Toolkit (DOL Feature)

It's possible to choose one object of the DOL List as "Game Language". Changing between different languages or language styles will happen within a few seconds.
All of the languages above working really great.

Spanish and French language will come to as DOL Templates.

Unfortunately, there's no release. I've since switched engines. Originally, I used the Acknex Engine. However, there were memory leaks that couldn't be fixed according to the development team. The outsourcing team that was employed no longer existed, and the entire code was commented in mandarin. The memory leak caused surprises - involuntary crashes. The application simply disappeared. There were texture errors with terrains. Unfortunately, the project had to be terminated, and I had to start anew.
He has been working for 7 years on it

For using YRPG. You won't need any programming skills. The event Editor is very offers everything what you could need for a RPG. I will write a documentation about everything users need to know about YRPG Toolkit. If you want there is also a feature called 'Lite-C Code', which allows you to use Lite-C (Programming Language of Acknex' Engine). But it's not necessary.

It's really timeconsuming to create assets. And free stuff is really rare.
Next step after completing my Toolkit, is searching for a model artist, who creates a template for my toolkit. Prices for professional models aren't cheap. But than everyone will be able to create 3D RPGs.

But at first I have to calculate all my costs. This project will be more expensive than I thought at beginning. To publish my Map-Editor would cost me 800 €. It's just the price for the License, which allows me to distribute special files of the engine. Without those Files, the map compiler won't work.

Without a Map Editor 200 €. Then people have to use the 3D Gamestudio Map Editor.


Next Question - how big will be a template of models?
A professional Model package with town, cave, dungeon, forest pack and a bundle of characters would cost something about 1000 €. I need more than just an indie license, becaue I will distribute all these models.

I thought about a crowdfunding project. Unfortunately kickstarter isn't available in Germany.

Therefore there would be just one solution. To take the risk of buying all this models from my own pocket and sell the Toolkit. If people buy Yume I will earn my investment back. If not I will be the loser.
Right now I am just a poor student. But I am sure, there will be a solution for our template problem. ;)


Damn, you cant use kickstarter? That sucks. But this project IS getting known here, so I guess you WILL earn you investment back. Good luck buddy, lookin' forward to this :)

This is SO HOT. But will this need Programming knowladge like in Unity where you need a special program to create character models and a certain level of scripting?

Or like RPG maker where it will have some preset models and that?
