I think, if you got rid of the red flowers, it'd be a lot better - they pop out so much that your eyes are instantly drawn to them. Which would be great if they were integral to the plot or leading you somewhere, but they're not. Usually you want to make pathing easy to see, even in a thick forest - a few screens like this where it's hard to see the path is fine and adds a bit of puzzle to the map but you don't want to overdo it too much.
It's pretty, sure, but just a tad too much. >.<)b
