Oreh Calibur is a young man whose entire life shifted as he graduated from being a lowly squire to a Valorian Knight. He is a friendly, personable individual who cares deeply about the lives of his people. As he worked hard to obtain his newfound position, however, Oreh is also quite stubborn and less inclined to change his viewpoint, especially when it goes against his king, Enguard IV, whom he swore to serve no matter the cost. Training all his life to become a knight, Oreh is a highly skilled swordsman who channels both a just heart and passion into the force of his blade.

A feral child raised by one of the few remaining Ork tribes since the Time of Darkness, Samara is both unfamiliar with and curious about her species. While she doesn't know who her real parents are, nor does she know how she came to live with Orks to begin with, she remains a proud member of the Leviwood Scouts, a team of young ones dedicated to the protection of the forest, and thinks of her pig-like caretakers as family. Samara is young and bursting with energy. Just like the boar-like Orks, she possesses strong will power and never backs down from a fight, even when she recognizes she is at a disadvantage. Her antsy personality and lack of experience with other humans has given her rude tendencies, however, and she's arguably as stubborn as Oreh. She's recently become distraught after being told by her "family" that she isn't an Ork, but it doesn't stop her vivaciousness.

Haggar is a Blood Mage, a rare sect of magic casters who draw arcane power through the energy that naturally flows through their veins. Sometime during the Time of Darkness, he and his sect of Blood Mages were possessed under the evil king’s spell, and as the king’s legion were wiped off the face of the earth, so were the blood mages. Free of the king’s spell and seeking atonement, Haggar, one of the last remaining blood mages, set out on a journey of personal growth. Since then, he has become one of the most powerful nomadic mages alive. As a character, Haggar is stoic and somewhat unpersonable. He can be brutally honest and seldom shows an emotional attachment with others.

Queen Rona Grimshaw is the sole ruler of Western barbarian tribe living among the frigid tundras of Northern Levi. Growing up in a harsh environment where every man and women has to fend for themselves, Rona is a fearless warrior with contempt for weakness. It's said that even wearing her revealing attire in the mist of blizzards, Rona is always warm, ready to gash her opposition with her battle axe and taste the blood of war. Brash and ill-tempered, Rona is more inclined to solve her situations through violence then through negotiation. In spite of this, she does have a soft, feminine side to her that she keeps tucked away under her fierce persona. Her only son was recently killed by the rivaling Eastern barbarian tribe, and she will not rest until every single head of the killers are severed.


Orianna

As a priestess, she has devoted her life to study and worship the Goddess of the world, and wherever she goes, she shares the Goddess’ blessings with others. While she is a good preacher, however, she is still young and inexperienced. Her ability to cast holy magic is lacking, so much that she sometimes has doubts whether the Almighty favors her as a priestess or not. Feeling pressured to perform her role and do it well, she has become an insecure and somewhat self-destructive over time.

Ayano Idina is the princess of the Kenonia kingdom, located near the mountainous heart of the island. As Kenonia is a place known for its neutrality with other kingdoms and prospects for spiritual growth, Idina is a peace-seeker, and a practitioner of Mantra-based meditation. She is on an endless quest for spiritual enlightenment, and through time, she has developed a close bond with flow of nature. As a matriarch and peacemaker, Idina is very cordial and polite with others. It is difficult to enrage her, as she has strong self-control, which is a must for her endless path to enlightenment. She has a tough side to her, however, especially in matters that threaten the existence of her kingdom. While her father, the king, as well as many other counsil members pushed for neutrality in response to the increasing threat of demonic attacks in Levi, Idina sought to prepare for war. She is a woman who does not let tradition get in the way of rationality.

Alistair Bane is a swordsman with many years of experience under his belt. While he appears to be an elderly man, he remains swift in combat and unmatched in skill. He is, in fact, the legendary hero who slew the evil king Dunstan for the sake of the world. Regardless, he swiftly dismisses any talk brought up about his role in the Times of Darkness. Unlike other heroes who would boast about their achievements, Alistair becomes sorrowful and disgruntled as soon as he even thinks of the subject. In a strange intuition, he felt that the evil king’s presence was alive on Levi Island. Thus, he and his companion, Harlow, journeyed back to the same place where he defeated his arch nemesis.


Harlow
The Vanguard

Harlow acts as both a bodyguard and a companion to Alistair, travelling with the legendary hero wherever he wonders and fighting thieves and beasts on his behalf. He takes this role so seriously, that he always seem unapproachable and apprehensive to those outside of Alistair’s circle. Almost everyone who has taken a first glance at this heavily armored man felt awe-stricken by his imposing posture. His distrusting behavior is not without cause, however. Harlow used to be a ruthless bandit who mugged and murdered to stay alive, until the day he was saved by the hero whom he only thought existed in legend. To atone for his wicked acts and feeling indebted, Harlow swore loyalty to Alistair, and acts as his protector.

A soldier of one of the most powerful armies in the world, Pitome is not a man to be trifled with. He believes in strength above all and possessed indomitable willpower. Extremely nationalist, he often boasts about how great the Resiliar kingdom is and how “even the Goddess bows before thee.” In spite of this, Pitome desires more with his life. He has always aimed for greatness in strength since his youth, but he feels as if his position as a soldier is not enough. He longs to be as if the hero told in the legend of the Time of Darkness, someone not only as strong, but to be recognized as such. While he sees nothing more than a pathetic boy in Oreh, Pitome offers to accompany him on his quest in an effort to potentially get the recognition he longs for.


Louhi

Louhi is an anti-mage, a dangerous type of magical caster who specializes in killing other mages. Bearing large, pointed ears and a set of nine tails behind her waist, Louhi represents someone who has let magic take control over the caster, and she is slowly losing her humanity. Before this state, Louhi was nothing more than a peasant girl living in the town of Worros. Her father abandoned his family and her mother grew terminally ill. To make a living in a harsh world, she would do anything she could to earn money, from small jobs to thievery and prostitution. As if her life was not hard enough, she uncovered a plot to eradicate her hometown after stealing a parcel a mysterious man. Shortly afterwards, she was confronted by the same man he stole from. He gave her two options: Serve under him and achieve amazing power, or refuse and have her only home destroyed. She had no other option, she couldn't lose her mother, so she agreed to serve the man and participate in these magical experiments. Eventually, magic enveloped Louhi, giving her brand new powers and even a new appearance. She works as a recon officer for this figure and his legion, but now she struggles to retain her memory of her previous life.


Mr. Pengre

Many things about this penguin-like creature is odd. For starters, Mr. Pengre is the only one of the pengre monster species that can talk. Second, and unlike the rest of his kind, he seems unaffected by the spread of wickedness that seems to overtake the beasts on Levi Island lately, being as gentle as a mouse. Regardless of his peculiarities, Mr. Pengre has a positive outlook and a heart of gold. He admits to being somewhat clumsy, but he thinks of himself as being one of the bravest warriors of Northern Levi. Distraught by how his fellow Pengre monsters have been overtaken by evil thoughts, Mr. Pengre seeks help from a strange group of human beings, Oreh and co., to free his people from the curse.

Hayato is a monk on a quest to hone his skills. He is a martial artist who admires strength and wisdom, and firmly believes that the balance of both is the key to victory. His only goal in life is to get stronger, so he constantly seeks worthy opponents to challenge to a fight. While not truly concerned with the impending evil that is infesting the Levi Island, he does see this impending doom as an opportunity to test his strength. He’ll join Oreh’s party only after the knight proves himself in combat.


Astraia
The Disciple of Gaia

There exists a separate religious sect dedicated to the enlightenment and preservation of the earth, who they name “Gaia”. Astraia is a member of that sect, and a proficient user of Earth magic. As a result of her training, she has developed a strong spiritual bond with nature, from the wildlife to the trees, so much that she becomes easily agitated when those outside her sect pollute and destroy the natural world. Just entering adulthood within her group of Earth mages, Astraia embarks on a personal quest to protect and spread awareness of Gaia, much to the dismay of other religious groups. Her trek leads her to the Levi Island, where she hears a cry from the earth that evil has intoxicated the land. In an effort to free the earth from its “pain”, Astraia explores Levi Island to find and eradicate the island's curse.

King Enguard IV
AGE: 53
HOME: Valoria

Enguard IV is the proud ruler of the Valorian kingdom. Before this, he was one of the first people who colonized Levi Island sometime after the demise of the evil king Dunstan. Since then, he become somewhat stressed out as he is having difficulty in competing for the island's resources against the other two kingdoms. He recently appointed Oreh as an official knight of Valoria, being particularly impressed by young prospects. His plans for Valoria's future extends far beyond recruiting new men, however.


Duke Charles Lavir
AGE: 25
HOME: Valoria

Charles Lavir, or better knowns as "Lavir", also "snake" and "slime", is a nobleman amongst Valoria's royal family and a childhood friend of Oreh's who trained with him under sword fighting. Competitive and over-confident, Lavir takes pleasure in belittling others who are unable to match his self-proclaimed expertise, especially Oreh, whom he refers to as "Ory boy." The two share a love-hate relationship with one another, often annoyed by each other's tendencies but still sharing care for one another, deep down inside. Lavir loves to spar, as it often eases his boredom, particularly with Oreh as he partially wants a challenge, but mostly enjoys annoying him and catching the knight off guard.


Alchy Pot
The Alchy Pot is a regular cooking pot given sentience though a magic spell. It is rude, crude, and perpetually drunk. It always seems to have something negative to say whenever it is summoned. Alchy Pot isn't useless, however, for once he stumbles upon the valiant knight, Oreh, he lends his him his power of Alchemy. The Alchy Pot allows Oreh and co. to combine items to create new ones, making its discourteous behavior somewhat forgivable.
