I have to admit that I'm probably one of those people who feel like everything that happens in a story-heavy game somehow has to be justified logically and lore-wise, including many elements of pure gameplay. I'm trying to take on a less pedantic attitude about it, but in general it's just more satisfying to me when events or phenomena in a game make sense in their context and don't feel completely disconnected from the story's world.

Even at the beginning of the game, the writing as well as the compelling dungeon design immediately got me hooked during my first playthrough. But to be fair, I hadn't played a whole lot of good RPG Maker games before, and it's noticeable the writing does improve as the game progresses. In the beginning, it seems a little too obvious when the game is trying to give the player information about the setting and its backstory. Still, I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that I still find most of it excellent. It just gets even better later on. And I'm glad you resisted the temptation to keep redoing finished work, because otherwise probably nobody would ever have been able to play a finished version.

Thanks for this episode! I'm looking forward to seeing this series continue and learning more things about MotW's development that I didn't know before.
